Secret Wars has been garbage so far. Maybe the tie-ins will be better, but I don't have much hope.

Say what you will about the state of ultimate marvel recently but in its early days there was no greater guarantee of quality in comics than having the word ultimate in the title

The lack of a sense of history in comics of some of the people on here blows my mind. Anyone who can with a straight face call Mark Millar and Brian Michael Bendis hacks really needs to start picking up some back issues because regardless of their recent work those two guys have two of the best back catalogs of any comic writers of the last 20 years. Read their early ultimate marvel work, Millars run on Wolverine, Bendis's on daredevil and house of m then come back and maybe you'll be a little bit more informed. Mark Millar is the most adapted comic writer outside of Stan Lee and Chris Claremont. Dudes got three movies based on his creator owned work,one storyline from his marvel days filming now,and his work on ultimates greatly inspired the avengers movies

I may not have liked the dozens of anti-climatic deaths of important characters in the Ultimate Marvel Universe that they've sprung on us in the last few years..

BUT I have to applaud them for sticking to them.

I would have liked Cyclops, Daredevil, etc in this event.

kinda scared to start this, Bendis is always a hit and miss with his overall story, and apparently quiet a few heroes have already died

I wonder what will happen with Ultimate Peter & MJ. I seriously think Marvel will kill off 616 Peter and keep Ultimate Peter alive in the new universe because of Bendis.

Hopefully Bendis will FINALLY tell us how Peter has been alive for the past year which you think he would have explained in the past 12 issues of Miles Morales.

@dethpillow ultimate xmen was pretty great in the beginning too. Basically all of the Ultimate titles prior to ultimatum were critical darlings

I was wondering how you felt about SW #2. Hickman is crushing it and I loved the game of thrones feel with Dr Doom sitting on Ygrassil instead of the iron throne, 5/5. Secret Wars is off to a great start, while I can't say the same for Convergence. Love the Doctor Strange/Dr Doom relationship.
