Rly like .
Death in comics is so trivial now, to the one thing that always made my heart race. Was when a character was fighting and he would be so close to death but at end of issue he saves the day, now I don't see it that way, now I know even if he does die he/ she will be back In a months time or when the Movie comes out.

Hellboy is a great character, Mike Mignola is a great artist - and can be a good writer. I will buy this over any of the current Marvel/DC re-hashed same-old, same-old.

We don't know that he's coming back to life. It's called "Hellboy in Hell". Chances are, he's dead and in Hell, and is just having adventures down there.

I could've sworn that I read the report of his death, and the creators stated that he will stay dead forever, they will NEVER bring him back, they'll avoid the "Death doesn't last forever," rule in comics, things like that......

...Oh, well. Third movie, please.

I could very well be wrong, though. It's been a while. Apologies, if so.

I read somewhere that Mignola has no plans to bring Hellboy back to life.
So I guess this is his adventures in Hell.

In Hell arc...didn't read it closely. If it's his adventure in Hell, then I think it's fair, as he's technically still dead.

Hellboy in heaven would be interesting....

@RSD: Hellboy, from the creators own mouth, is dead and the series (and following) will take place in Hell (what Mignola's Hell will be like is anyone's guess but from what he's said so far, it sounds cool), with any other Hellboy alive stories taking place in the past (a character who's lived as long as he has certainly would have adventures untold that we don't know about).

He's basically using Hellboy in Hell to draw and write whatever stories he wants to without being constrained to any particular reality or time.

Excellent! Love Mike and hope he draws! I'm tired of Guy Davis.
