Artist Joe Stone (via Bleeding Cool) has come up with yet another of his impressive "Read More Comics" posters, this time featuring the characters who will be featured in the upcoming relaunch of the DC Universe. While we already know that a considerable amount of superheroes are missing from the new range of #1's this September, the following guide is a great way of seeing whether your favourite made the cut! And yet again, Marvel's fanbase proves itself to be immature. I've seen barbs thrown back and forth for years, but never so many as those thrown by Marvel fans. Whatever. Guys, grow up.

@fanboy76- martian manhunter's gonna be a part of the "stormwatch" comic. he's in the 2nd ring from the outside.
Ceejay
Ceejay - 6/21/2011, 1:02 PM
Why is Grifter and Stormwatch included in the DC line up, they're Wildstorm! Are they about to dumb-down Wildstorm now to fit in to the play-nice DCU?
Ceejay
Ceejay - 6/21/2011, 1:04 PM
Oh my god they are and they've given Voodoo her own comic too. Well there goes another set of once decent characters!

I've always bought more Marvel titles than D.C., but I don't see why anyone needs to slam either company, really. Do I think the relaunch/boot/whatever is a poor idea? Yeah, I do. I don't think it's necessary, and if they wanted to do it that bad, I don't see why they needed to do it all at once. That being said, I'm going to wait and see. As the titles come out, I'll do what I've always done: Go to the store, pick them up individually, give them a once over, and if I like the direction they're going in, I'll buy it. It's kind of a stunt and it feels confused, but if they do end up having a direction and they have good storytelling, then screw it, sign me up.

This is just another attempt at rebooting the DCU, the same as was done post-crisis back in 1987! That effort arguably yielded mixed results. Each successive pass at this seems to have less of an impact than the last!! Ugh!

It's ironic that DC's goal is to streamline and contemporize their product for a younger audience, but each time they embark on this path it alieniates the loyal readers while confusing the newer ones!!

What, no Dr. Fate. [frick] you DC
ShadesAtKnight
ShadesAtKnight - 6/21/2011, 5:20 PM
... and yet, I'm still confused.

And in this relaunch, aparently only the women and the Red Lanterns are allowed to have mouths.
