COMICS: Covers And Solicitation Details For KATANA #1 And JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA’S VIBE #1

Spinning out of the new Justice League of America series which launches in February, Katana is getting her own solo series from the creative team of Ann Nocenti and Alex Sanchez. Surprisingly, Vibe will also be getting his own ongoing from writers Andrew Kreisberg (with Geoff Johns) and artist Pete Woods.

• KATANA is a former assassin on a noble quest to restore the OUTSIDERS to their former glory!
• Will she succeed, or will she be overcome by the power of her sword, the SoulTaker?

• No, that’s not a typo. Vibe stars in his own ongoing monthly title, starting with this debut issue cowritten by GEOFF JOHNS!
• One of the most unlikely members of the Justice League of America ever (okay, THE most unlikely) will soon discover he’s one of the most powerful individuals on Earth. But how did Vibe get his abilities? What is the cost to them? And why does the JLA want him on the team so desperately?
• Plus: We’ve seen the Red Room and the Black Room, but what is...the Circus?

Cyborg doesn't deserve a solo series. MartianManhunter and The Question on the other hand.

The Outsiders are pretty much confirmed to be coming back at some point.

@IgnurRant

Cyborg does deserve to have a solo. He's one of the founding members of the Justice League. If [frick]ing Vibe can get a ongoing, Cyborg sure as hell deserves one given his current status.

Why does the "justice league of America's" part have to be before vibe? Sounds dumb

KaneVonDoom@ So right. Nocenti's awesome, though and they're pushing Katana for the Beware the Batman.

I truly understand DC is trying to make these lesser known characters get more attention whether they deserve it or not, but I just have a bad feeling about these two new solo series. Don't get me wrong, I think they will be great in the new JLA

@Duke: I like Katana and her new costume design looks good, but it is definitely reminiscent of Shi. Vibe though sounds and looks very "late 90's" era and kinda lame.

It's so Shi, it's just ridiculously Shi.

@Leroy

Cyborg isn't one of the founding members of the JL. He's one of the founding members of the new 52.

There's a difference.

One has been around for over 50 years. The other wont be around for another 10.

If they were giving Vibe a series they couldve at least given him a cool costume, that crap looks like a throw away design from The Ray series in the 90's

I don't think anyone's gonna jizz in their pants over Vibe getting a series. But all ladies in a one mile radius of him might.

DC has big balls for giving B listers their own book, I really liked the blue devil and black lighting book.
Wish marvel would do the same, they have so many characters that haven't seen light of day in years.can't find a marvel book without an A or X on it.

I HAVE A FEELING VIBE IS GOING TO SURPRISE A LOT OF PEOPLE KIND OF THE NEW 52 AQUAMAN. I SAW A DC SHORT FEATURING VIBE IT WAS KIND OF LAME BUT GOT ME INTERESTED IN THE CHARACTER. PERSONAL I THINK DC IS DISHING OUT SO MANY CHARACTERS WITH NEW SERIES SO THEY CAN FIGURE OUT WHO TO USE FOR MOVIES OR WHAT NOT. REMEMBER MOST OF MARVELS FILMS FEATURE B CHARACTERS EXCEPT FOR HULK CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE X-MEN

OH AND I KIND OF LIKE VIBES OUTFIT. REMEMBER HE'S FROM THE STREETS... KIND OF LIKE STATIC SHOCK.
