Really really don't like reverse flash's new look. Hope they change the look or that this isn't the actual reverse flash.

It surprising why DC hasn't given Flash an animated series. His mythos is like tailor made for one. Same wih Shazam.

Love this look!
Although i was hoping that since RF is rocking Black and Red, it'd allow Johnny Quick to carry the Yellow and Red, like he did in Crisis on Two Earths.

Man, i really hate the designs of the Crime Syndicate :(

The New 52 has many great titles. Animal Man, Batman, The Flash, Batman/Superman, Green Arrow (starting with issue 17), Justice League (to an extent), JLI, Frankenstein, Swamp Thing & The Mad Hatter story arc in Batman: The Dark Knight. Oh and Action Comics but I have only read issues 1-7. Right now I am really into the New 52/DC comics in general. I enjoy The New 52. I like trying to figure out the timeline. Any other titles I should pick up? (Note: I did read a bit of Mister Terrific and All-Star Western. I like Booster Gold. Also have read 1-5 of Justice League of America)

And when I say "to an extent" about the Justice League title I mean, I have read issues 1-12, & kind of know what happens during the "Throne of Atlantis" and "Trinity War" storylines, buuuuuuuuuuut if what I've read it has its ups and downs.

I love this design, it looks corrupted. Looking at the cover, it looks like the black part is the suit and the suit is shattered showing the red part at least looking at the head.

the new 52 is ruining most of dc classic villains,i suppose reverse flash could look better with a decent artist but how does the saying go if it ain't broke....

The pre 52 Reverse Flash looked like a clown. He looked as stupid as the original Wolverine did.

The new Reverse Flash looks bad @$$ and more intimidating. How could anyone stop laughing at the old one long enough to even know his name? I like this guy. He's a murderer. He's sadistic. He's a freak.

I can understand how people would like something I don't though. So for those people, I'd just like to remind you that this is but one universe in the DC multiverse. This is how these villains are here, but not how they are everywhere. I also hate what they did to Freeze. Nora isn't even his wife anymore. He made up having a wife because now he's just insane. I hate that. But I accept that this is one telling of the tale. Just how we have West-Batman, Keaton-Batman, Bale-Batman and now Afleck-Batman. It'll all be told again one day. Original Batman comics had him shooting people, so yeah... things change.

@ MartianAbominationClone

i hate the changes,i read about half a dozen dc titles but some of these changes to the villains don't make me want to put myself out to read anything new.

i stopped reading the flash because i found it a hit & miss comic, some of the writing was good but other times it couldn't hold my attention.

@BlackJack10 meh, honestly New 52 made me appreciate Thor and Daredevil's runs even more than I would.

Sorry guy, New 52 is just a rehash of 90s comics. Simpe as that. Even the BIG ASS GUNS theme is back

Josh Wilding,

Thanks for the "First Look" at Daniel West's origin for Reverse-Flash!! Could we have a better resolution though? I can hardly the last 2 rows of frames with my iPhone 4S and my MacBook Pro?

The new Reverse-Flash looks absolutely stupid.

The red and black color scheme with claws, spikes and glowing eyes is something a child would suggest to make a villain more intimidating. It is incredibly generic.

How is he "reverse" at all? I am guessing that this is how they will explain it...

"For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. There is a negative speed force opposite the that powers 'Reverse-Flash' which is opposite the speed force that powers Barry." That is some inspired writing.

I would prefer it if they called this lame villain anything else. "Anti-Flash" would be a fine compromise if he gets his powers as I have described above. I personally refer to him as "Poo Flinger" because that is what it looks like he is throwing in the comics.

@PersonOfNoInterest - Sorry, this Reverse-Flash impostor has nothing on the old Reverse-Flashes by way of being sadistic, cruel and freakish.

Professor Zoom (RF to Barry Allen) was from the future and had plastic surgery to look exactly like Barry Allen because he was such a huge fan. After coming to despise Barry after travelling through time, he used this to impersonate Barry/Flash and ruin his reputation. He tried preventing Barry from becoming the Flash, but learned that he wouldn't exist if Barry didn't become the Flash. So he decided to put Barry through complete personal hell by travelling through time killing his friends and family. He also used his knowledge of future events to attack Barry.

Zoom (RF to Wally West) was a close friend of Wally West who was handicapped. He got powers trying to use the cosmic treadmill to prevent his accident after Wally refused. He thought that Wally declined because he hadn't gone through personal tragedy like Barry had. He dedicated his life to putting Wally through anguish to "make him a better hero whether he wants to be or not." This culminated with him attacking Wally's wife while Wally watched, causing a miscarriage of their unborn twins.

Oh, yeah. Zoom and Professor Zoom later teamed up and used the cosmic treadmill to force Wally to watch his wife get attacked and miscarry the twins multiple times.

Sorry if I am not impressed because this new guy "killed people."
