Teen Titans writer Scott Lobdell has written an exclusive piece for Comic Vine that reveals Teen Titans #30 will be the last issue. No reasons were given for the cancellation, but it is a heartfelt goodbye that thanks readers for sticking with the book.

Gang!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the legion of fans who have been supporting the TEEN TITANS since our very first issue almost two and a half years ago!

Why am I talking about it like its in the past? Because issue #30 and the annual a week later is going to the final issue of the most recent incarnation of the TEEN TITANS!

I'm thrilled the DC is letting me wrap up the story on a high note as the TEEN TITANS square off against the N.O.W.H.E.R.E. in a final battle -- bringing to conclusion the conflict that began in the first issue!

I'm certainly going to miss writing the adventures of Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Bunker and the rest of the gang. But as a huge, life long fan of the title I'm very excited about the whispered rumors I'm hearing race back and forth between New York and Burbank. (Trust me when I say we haven't seen the last of everyone's favorite teen team adventurers.)

So thank you Brett Booth, Tyler Kirkham, Ig Guara, Kenneth Rocafort and Norm Rapmund and Andrew Dalhouse, the ever effervescent Fabian Nicieza and Bobbie Chase, Katie Stewart, Anthony Marques, Mike Cotton, Eddie Berganza, Bob Harras and some guy named Dan DiDio!

It was a blast - and keep an eye on this space for upcoming news about my latest project!

What are your thoughts on the cancellation? Disappointed, or is it time to put this incarnation aside? Sound off in the usual place!

Not a fan of the direction they went in. Especially what they did with the design of Solstice. She could be a really memorable character and I think they screwed it up.

Actually, all the designs were bad in my opinion except for Kid Flash.

Great news.

I love Teen Titans but this last incarnation was terrible. With it gone it leaves room for a new team with hopefully good writing.

I'm hoping for maybe just the Titans with the originals, Nightwing, Wally, Donna, Garth and maybe Arsenal.

Not sad at all, Teen Titans became so messed up after New 52, before the reboot I thought it was one the best DC titles.

The Titans deserve a better writer than Lobdell and I hope to see them again at some point

Wow. I'm really bumped by this. Teen Titans does and always will have a special place in my heart. With that said though, Teen Titans and Superboy were the biggest disappointment of the whole New 52 to me.

The writing and the story were no were near on par with Geoff Johns 2003 series. Not including any of the past Titans history? Making Tim Drake never Robin? Writing Superboy as a tough robotic kid? No thanks. Hope this series gets rebooted in the future though. With more love written for the characters.

I am a big TT fan but I am not a fan of the New 52 version. Hopefully they can bring TT back and have them be closer to the pre New 52 version or even better go back to what they did in the eighties. Plus bring back the real Beast-Boy and Raven.

Was not a fan of this book. I'll stick to my Wolfman run and my Johns' run
