One of the best comics out right now is Scott Snyder's Batman. Something that has been missing is the Batmobile. Well in issue #9 finally Batman will be debuting the Batmobile for the first time.

For the past few weeks as Batman artist Greg Capullo finished up penciling issue #9, he began to mention the fact that he got to design a new Batmobile, debuting in the same issue. A few days ago he posted a teaser of what we'll be getting.

Not the best look at it but it does give us an idea of how it will look. Jet engine in the back? Fantastic. What do you guys think?

Awesome, Batman and Snyder have to be the best writer and character combination at the moment.

@Ha1frican - I know eh! I hope it is...

@superotherside - That's a great idea but we'd have to see how the storyarc ends first... I'm a couple issues behind but as far as I know Bats hasn't beat them yet!

I kinda liked the one they had in the last B&R series (Dick/Damian, for those without long term memory), but I'm glad that it's something that will stay unique to that series.

Just do the Tumbler already. It makes way more sense than chasing criminals in a sportscar.

I hate that comics have been infected with the evils of marketing. Being a cocktease isn't cool to the fans. Either give us a good picture or nothing at all.

Really the tumbler makes more sense than a sports vehicle HOW? IT LOOKS LIKE A CLUSTER OF METAL AND TIRES how can something like that be the fastest vehicle on Gotham streets and catch criminals its not even aerodynamic its cant be lite and agile its not even call a batmobile its call a tumnber and its ugly i keep hopeing Nolan change the design but it never happens

I wonder if the sharp pointy things on the top serve a purpose or are only for decoration?

That looks very cool. I think those things on the rear of the Batmobile are supposed to function in a similar way to car spoilers.

Should I start reading Detective Comics or Batman? Which is a better read???

@ KilledHal9000

Both of them are really good, if you want to read about new characters called The Court Of Owls that are ripping Batman apart you should read Scott Snyder's Batman, lol.

Detective Comics has all the villains we know and love.

Detective comics is good but Batman is just phenomenal! I would definitely go with Batman as a first choice!

On another note, has anyone been reading Batman: The Dark Knight? I'm really skeptical about it...

@ mingHagz

The dark knight is good but not great. It's fun to see batman need the help of the flash and superman but in the end, at least for the first arc, it comes off as a ploy to include as many villains and Heros as possible. I like it, but they need to improve the story quality for it to compete with detective and batman. I'll be excited to see where the night of the owls tie in takes it. One thing about the dark knight is the art is awesome. Really has some great drawings.

Yeah, Ima start reading Batman. Animal Man, Action Comics, Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., and Justice League International are what I read and are all pretty decent. I'd say Animal Man is the best of the "New 52" I just want to start reading some Batman, I'm digging the art in Batman, the costume is cool, Batmobile looks...cool too. Anyone read The Flash? It any good.
Minghagz
Minghagz - 4/4/2012, 10:06 PM
@KilledHal9000, I haven't read any Animal Man but I hear really good things about it. But it's funny that you mention Flash because that's my 2nd favorite from the New 52 (1st is obviously Batman). They're doing an awesome job with the exploration of Flash's powers. They're really doing some interesting things with the character IMO.

Damn. Looks like I gotta add that to my pull list too. Batman and The Flash. Gotta get those. Might just wait til the TPB's. I will also probably drop Frankenstein after Lemire leaves as writer.

Comparing Burton's Batman to Snyder's/Capullo's Batman is just asinine, lmao!
