COMICS: First Look At The New 52's BANE

COMICS: First Look At The New 52's BANE

Check out the DCnU version of Bane, who will debut in The Dark Knight #6. He pretty much retains his old look entirely, with a bit of Arkham City influence thrown in too..

Well it seems The Bat is going to be broken all over again if this image is anything to go by. The cover to David Finch's The Dark Knight #6 is a clear homage to the classic story-line "Knightfall", in which Bane snaps Batman's spine.

What do you think of this new look Bane? It's pretty much the old-look Bane in fairness. But I'm sure many of you are glad the New 52 didn't take much influence from Christopher Nolan's very different take on the character.

Say what you will about what the movie version looks like, I'm glad that he'll be a villainous mastermind like the comic version.
May check this issue out, wasn't big on the first two issues but Bane's my favorite Bat-villain so I might read this.

I see that the new 52s are not only lame, but they are re-hashing the old stories...

Good to see Bane back in the comics. Glad they didnt change it to the Mortal Kombat wanna be crap that is in the Nolan film.

Interesting, while I did like the Bane design in Arkham, I didn't think that DC would actually make it Banes official look

Why is he so big? They should have taken note from the Young Justice show and The Dark Knight Rises.

In the first two issues of this series, both Two-Face and Joker were huge for some reason. Maybe it's the same situation with Bane (as well as the Arkham Asylum influence).

The whole "Bane breaking the Bat on his knee" thing is losing its epicness due to the amount of times this scene has been recycled and redrawn. It was even done on a Secret Six cover! Keep it special DC.

Arkham Asylum had the best Bane.

Followed (far behind) by Tom Hardy.

52 Bane is a little too much.

Agreed, looks very silly. I can't believe there are those that would rather THAT up on the screen than Tom Hardy

It's too bad none of the people on here have read the New 52's Dark Knight. If you had, you'd know that the villian is using an alteration of Scarecrow's and Bane's venom, which is making many of Batman's baddies WAY BIGGER than normal. However, it's also wearing off quickly and causing them much damage mentally (probably due to Scarecrow's influence). Not a big deal, maybe, but it explains why he's so ridiculously huge on this cover. Haters shouldn't hate, once they come to an understanding of the truth. Now you have. - Honest Fan

Never liked the comics design and Bane is treated like a [frick]ing pussy in the Arkham games so its not surprise I'm not a big fan of this.

This is just cross-promotional stuff. Trying to sell comics by pigging-backing on the the film.
