COMICS: Killer Croc Features On "Villains Month" Cover For BATMAN & ROBIN #23.4

Batman's reptilian foe hasn't been getting much of the spotlight thus far in the New 52, but that's about to change as Tim Seeley will bring his new take on Waylon Jones to Batman & Robin #23.4 along with artist Francis Portela. Check out the cover art after the jump..

Say Tim Seeley on his version of Killer Croc:

"I think there's a tendency to tell stories about Croc where he's just a monster who doesn't understand things. Maybe he can't understand romance or people, and it's just dumb. At the end of all these Croc stories, he just flops down and gets arrested. I don't know why. I knew I had to tell a story about how, despite his obvious difficulties in looking like a monster and everybody thinking he's dumb, he rises above that. What's he got going for him? What are the things that make Croc completely different from all the other Batman bad guys?"

Looks good. This villains month is gonna kill my wallet... Hopefully these stories arnt crappy side stories and actually tie into a "big picture" with the secret society... I read some of the solicitations and for example Te Riddler ties into Zero Year and Black Manta ties into Secret society... Reverse flash is his origin. So some will def be worth the purchase.

@baneofE
some are just stand alone stories tell g an origin or a case/adventure featuring the villain and most will tie in to other story events so I believe for the most part they all have a significance i one way and not just a filler issue.

killer croc does need a big screen appearance,batman & spider-man are the two characters with the best rogue gallery.

lets get some of the lesser known ones up on the big screen.

@Nomis

This is how I would introduce Killer Croc in a movie:

Are you kidding me? Killer Croc would be horrible in a live action movie. Visually there's nothing that makes Croc a good choice considering Bane's a similar option. He'd just be too much like the Lizard. And let's not forget his BS origin story. "He was born like that."

I get that people want more fantasy elements in Batman, but this is just ridiculous.

Croc can never be anything more than a mindless henchmen if he were done on screen.

Yeah should a Batman reboot be just around the corner, they should seriously consider putting Croc in there. Especially if it was Arkham Asylum inspired...

Batman by Scott Snyder is amazing, definitely get that one. Batman and Robin is also good. I haven't read any more except Detective Comics, which I didn't like. I heard Batwoman and Batgirl are pretty good too.

@nibs - Ever since the Batman Animated Series, I have been waiting to see Clayface on the big screen. Bring on Clayface for the next installments of Batman!

So are they, like a quarter of the size?
They're probably not, right? This kinda numbering is just a little bit Marvel. Next they'll be doing legacy renumbering and restarting titles every three years.
I remember when Action Comics went weekly. That didn't have decimal points. It just increased the issue number with every sequential issue. I guess that kind of logic sounds just plain crazy, these days. Not marketable, right?
