After the death of Damien Wayne/Robin in Batman Inc. #8, many have wondered what the future would hold for writer Peter Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason's Batman And Robin ongoing series. Recently, it was confirmed that the title will become a team-up line in which the Caped Crusader would team up with one of his allies each month, and via Comic Book Resources, we have the first five team-ups beginning with issue #19. Robin's final co-headlining issue will be in #18, described as "all-silent". Below is the list of team-ups for Batman And... for the next few months, as well as the cover for Batman And Robin #18.

#19 — Batman and Red Robin
#20 — Batman and Red Hood
#21 — Batman and Batgirl
#22 — Batman and Catwoman
#23 — Batman and Nightwing

Nightwing should graduate to Justice League status. He deserves it. He was a GREAT Batman and Nightwing should stand on his own.

*sigh*... What happened to the Bat-Fam not speaking with Bruce because of Death of the Family? I hate it when other Batman comics screw the continuity of the main Batman comics

@Nomis - I do not agree, it would take the very reason Dick Grayson became Nightwing : to be his own man and not Batman's sidekick anymore. But I'm not against a team-up every once in a while.

Isn't this like the third Robin to die? Maybe he should stop taking in random children, putting tights on them and having them die!
Bring back Nightwing or Red Robin if you are going to partner him up!

Will be interesting to see how modern audiences react to done-in-one stories. Can't actually think of any series that has had this many standalone issues except maybe Elephantmen, and even then there was an ongoing plot thread linking them

@Nomis - Now that you say it, if the point of view is that they are equals and not master-sidekick, THAT would be interesting. But it would have to spotlight on BOTH characters, not just Batman.

@wingding, could not agree more. So the big fallout from Death of the Family is that everyone politely made excuses to not come see Bruce at the appointed time, and instead everyone just talked to him the following month, and now they'll all team up again. But dammit, they WON'T be happy about it!

Take THAT Batman!

Personally the over saturation of Bat titles has left me buying none of them. I did purchase death of the family and was thoroughly disappointed and am now back to zero purchases. Aside from the over saturation I am also fed up with Batman becoming more like Iron-Man, especially in the movies.

So it may surprise that I propose a new Bat title. Set in an alternate universe where there are NO SUPERPOWERS! More detective skills and more Bruce Wayne. Also where Batman, though a highly trained fighter, is not necessarily the toughest guy in every fight.

Nightwing needs to graduate into a more stand-alone character - I think the character felt very out of place after going from Batman back to Nightwing, and now as Nightwing he just seems like he's back to being 3rd or 4th fiddle.

Also, bring Damian back you [frick]ups at DC!

Not really. Jason Todd actually died in both pre-New 52 and new 52 continuities. It turned out Stephanie Brown never actually died (her death was faked) and she apparently is persona non grata in the New DCU, so it's likely she never quite happened in that capacity anyway.

So yeah, just Jason and now Damian... the two nutjob Robins in the mix. And Damian wasn't random. He was Bruce and Talias crazy genetically enhanced test tube love child. Worse comes to worse, maybe Talia will cook up another one for Bruce's birthday next year.
