The costume looks pretty cool, especially in the right artist hands. The only thing it needs is a bit more yellow on the belt. The whole armory look to the suit is a nice touch from the plain spandex costume.

Superman's own comics have been really dissapointing so far in the New 52, hope it changes around soon as I really can't stand Lobdell

She was in the Zod #1 comic, and mentioned by name. First appearance??? Guys, please hire an editor/ fact checker so readers don't have to point out your mistakes.

They are already making Superman's costume look darker like in MOS...just give it up and change that [frick]ing piece of shit New52 design and go with the MOS suit instead of gradually changing the colours and shit.

IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME!
I know.
And it doesn't matter.

Yet ANOTHER example of a marginal movie affecting the comic book version. Stop changing the comics to accommodate the movies. The comics were fine before they started retro fitting stories and characters to reflect the movie world.

As if those movie goers are gonna start reading comics.
Ain't gonna happen.

You all do realize that Faora was a character that has existed since 1977 right? Plus I'm pretty glad she has gotten updated and is now apart of comics because that just provides us with another freaking amazing villain for Superman. Seriously if she is anything like she was in Man of Steel then I want every comic she is in.
TheFox
TheFox - 9/13/2013, 11:25 AM
Seriously, DC, GET SCOTT LOBDELL OFF OF SUPERMAN. The guy is a hack, and I don't want this particular hack writing one of my favorite characters anymore!

(Thank God for Scott Snyder.. His runs on Batman and Superman Unchained are the best things DC is putting out right now for the World's Finest.)

Also, I like that Faora's costume reflects the movie version's. Considering that Faora's badass-itude was one of the few things people seemed to unanimously agree worked in that movie, bringing her back in the comics and making her look more like her screen counterpart was a smart move.

I kinda wish we could get a Superman with like ash grey hair and a grizzled beard who looks at least 30-35

I missed something. Is there a problem with Marvel making their comics coincide with the movies? Seems to me they are doing something right. Maybe DC should do that more.
HAILHYDRA
HAILHYDRA - 9/13/2013, 12:13 PM
If by allowing their films to influence their comics they somehow comprised their integrity, I don't think it's that big of a deal. In a free market, a company is gonna do what is most profitable and they have made way more money off of movies than they have comics.
Visualiza
Visualiza - 9/13/2013, 12:17 PM
^The only people who feel that way are fickle fans on the 'sell out' bandwagon.

It's not unlike the teenager who suddenly hates their favorite band for making it big, regardless of how little their appeal has changed.
HAILHYDRA
HAILHYDRA - 9/13/2013, 12:22 PM
^That's an awesome point. Fanboy's need to realize that comics becoming mainstream isn't a bad thing. Comics in the mainstream means studios will be willing to take more risk.

I'd hate to break it to the traditionalist DC fanboys, but if a JL movie gets made, DC/WB will have to "sellout" a little bit.
JatevinM
JatevinM - 9/13/2013, 12:36 PM
As long as I get Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman on the JLA roster I honestly dont give two and a half [frick]s about who else is on the roster for the movie.

Gusto: Exactly dude! MOS suit is 100 times better and is true to who superman is but a modern version!
TheFox
TheFox - 9/13/2013, 12:53 PM
@HAILHYDRA: Uh, to be fair, the very concept of a Justice League movie IS a sellout. Especially after The Avengers, but even as a general idea. It's a cheap cash-in.

@ThePowerCosmic
Take that all you DC trolls that say Marvels comics are effected by the films...well looky here!

Axel alonso was saying that Marvel will NEVER change characters to emulate the movies so have they changed Tony Stark to be like the movie one?
mgeoff88
mgeoff88 - 9/13/2013, 5:48 PM
People loved Faora in MOS, so her being brought into the comics isn't too surprising.

It's still very cool to see it happen though.
