Yeah, it's really cool. A lot of the Futures End costumes (Masked Superman, Firestorm, Batman Beyond, for example) have been fantastic.

Uh, could someone explain to m pelase what the concept behind these "Futures End" comics is? Does it all happen in an alternative universe? In a Possible future? Is it something that wil ACTUALLY happen in the future of The New 52 and these are sort of sneak peeks into the future?

I believe this is a possible DC future. In the #0 issue, it showed the world 35 years from now, being taken over by the evil Brother Eye. Batman Beyond rocketed back in time to attempt to stop BE from ever being created, but accidentally landed in the wrong time and is now stuck in time five years from now.

I don't think this is the actual DCU in five years, though; I think the conclusion of the weekly series will kind of nullify its own existence.

I personally like the bad-ass take DC is apparently taking for the DCCU and casting Momoa...but I was hoping for NCW...could definitely pull off the "King" of Atlantis vibe, accent and all...think he looks like him, that's for sure...

Oh, great to know, then. That'd also mean they can take more liberties with the characters than if it actually was the actual forthcoming future (unlike the case of "batman Eternal" which, I understand,IS the future of teh batman series... or something -- I still don't get where the hell in the timeline it takes place)
