Last week, it was revealed that DC would raise the page count of their chart-topping title, Batman, to 30 pages of story, meaning the cover price would bump up from $3.99 to $4.99. It's easy to say that fans weren't ecstatic about the higher price, but worry no more -- series writer Scott Snyder has successfully persuaded the publisher to bring it back down after this week's Batman #35.
To add to the great development, DC Comics sent the following message to retailers, explaining that while the price will go back down, the page count will remain at 40:
DC ENTERTAINMENT TO PUBLISH BATMAN #36 AND 37 WITH A COVER PRICE OF $3.99 US
Following the amazing start of the Endgame storyline in BATMAN #35, DC Entertainment announces that BATMAN #36 and 37 chapters two and three of Endgame will be published with cover prices of $3.99 US each, as originally solicited!
These issues will keep their page count of 40, with 30 pages of story in each!
In addition, the combo pack editions of issues #36-37 will be priced at $4.99 US.
It's certainly good news for fans of the book who weren't prepared to pay five dollars an issue. Who's jumping back on thanks to this?
