Kotaku have a preview of the cover to Minutemen #3, one of the new comics in DC's "Before Watchmen" series. I'm sure fans of Alan Moore's original, and indeed Zack Snyder's movie version, wil remeber the character of Silhouette. A member of the original team of heroes known as The Minutemen, she unfortunately didn't last very long. The lesbian crime fighter was, as Rorschach put it, "a victim of her own indecent lifestyle". It seems this issue could feature some type of origin story for Silhouette, as well as details on the events leading up to her death..

Minutemen #3 is written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke, and will be available this August.

Mark i'm shocked you listed who the artist was! Darwyn Cooke is fantastic, this is article of the day as far as i'm concerned. also there's a slight typo in AlaN Moore's name. controversy aside, i don't think i'll be able to resist seeing what some of these creators do; sorry!

All the important stories about these characters were told within the 30 year span of the graphic novel. This Dc tacked on stuff is utterly superfluous and only waters down the uniqueness and integrity of the original tale.

hi Mark, you've posted great articles recently about stuff i am both excited about, as well as involved in - specifically posters, prints, fine art, comics (duh) etc. I've been curious why you never/rarely note the artists' credit (I recognize you post links to relevant sites). I think the issue is just something wrong/specific with me though, because I'm more of a witness/recipient/victim of Rodney Dangerfield-esque "get no respect" than the average bloke, AND I'm in a minority demographic that simultaneously follows (and comes from) poster/film communities (Mondo, Alamo Drafthouse, OMGposters etc)... so to me, someone like Martin Ansen is a big deal; to everyone else here it's "who or who cares". You always post articles that appeal the most to me personally though; keep up the great work! In this day of information, posting, and re-posting... imagine folks sharing articles YOU break and insightful commentary YOU make and having folks repeatedly leave your name and good work out of it.

Honestly dude, if I have ever omitted the name of an artist on anything I've posted it's either been because they weren't listed in the original source I picked it up from, or it just plain slipped my mind! Feel free to look back over my article and I guarantee you will only find a handful, if that, of occasions when all the relevant info and credit isn't given. And like I said, even those times it's never intentional. But thanks for the feedback, I do agree and will certainly make it more of a priority in future.
