For all the good that came out of Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns it also did a lot of bad mainly Batman and Superman have to be borderline enemies with the thinnest veil of a truce and one looks at each other wrong boom fight to the death. Not saying they need to be best friends sending each other yearly Christmas cards but at least some respect for each other. Yet we got things like just hearing Superman's voice makes Batman snap does this writer really think Batman has that much hatred for Superman that merely hearing his voice makes him snap or Superman goes all red eyes of death and runs off to pout because Batman hanged up on him. This is shit writing and all leads back to a terrible decision by Frank Miller.

Not a fan of Booth's art... Always looked weird to me, his sketches look [frick]ing epic, but for some reason when his art is coloured and done up properly just looks bland and worse than the sketch...

Supes and Bats sounding like a married couple in their thoughts, throw in some Nightwing, feels like old times.

Jae Lee doing the horizontal format would probably look amazing.

Can they please fix Metallo?
He looks like a bulkier less sophisticated Ultimate Rhino minus the horn.

It's a downgrade.

wait, the Toymaster looks like Superboy back from the 80's? Also I love the way Superman is flying, sideways like he's bored lol

I guess this doesn't tie in to the Forever Evil "New 52" which is supposed to be one cohesive universe. All of these alternate universe's suck and it shows just how scared these writers are if making lasting "BIGboy" decisions. "Batman's dead! So what, we'll just go ahead and grab an extra one from Earth 3965 where everybody's Batman".

Love this series. Not too crazy about the new format but I'm always up to try something new.

Arts ok but Pak really knows how to write the worlds finest.

Nice list tomorrow for me.

1. Green Lantern
2. Forever evil
3. Phantom stranger
4. Superman unchained
5. Batman/Superman

This isn't a new character--Hiro Okamura's the third Toyman. He was a central part of the first story arc of "Superman/Batman" from 2003.

Oh thank God! I thought we'd never get a new 52 version of Toyman. He was so integral to the Superman mythos. I hope they don't stop there though. We been waitin' for a proper Prankster too. And how bout Bloodsport, and Clawster (Little 90's kick)? I know the sarcasm is a bit more biting than this news warrants but I'm feeling feisty. I'm all full of feist. I am however also a fan of Greg Pak. So I mean this mostly in fun. but Superman's villain pantheon DOES leave a little to be desired.

@Beane2099 Superman's villain pantheon leaves a little to be desired? Are you serious really because lets look at his villain pantheon will we. You got Darkseid, Lex Luthor, Brainiac, Mongul, Doomsday, Superboy-Prime, Metallo, and General Zod to name his main enemies. Yes these villains fight other heroes and have been involved in major events but they have always been mainly based around Superman and are after him more then anyone. Sure he has plenty of campy villains but so does Batman and every silver age superhero. Coming in here saying Superman's rogues leave a little to be desired pssh.
