I wish an artist like Opena would get on The Flash books. I would pick the series back up again if that were so.

I think Opena's style would be pretty cool for the speedster.

I am sorry did they give Grodd the speed force now that is a really stupid idea if this is true. Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash is the only speedster villain Flash needs they don't need to tack on the power to Grodd.

Can't wait to read these tonight, my local shop is having a midnight villains launch party.

The New 52 Flash book is awesome.

@Pesmerga44 Nah, Grodd becomes a bigger threat now that he's tied to the speed force.

Oh and DC just give Flash an animated series already.

Flash and his villains are so lame and boring
SnapperCarr

@SunfireUrA55 So a gorilla is ridiculous, yet you Marvelites have a raccoon and a tree headlining a summer blockbuster next year?

@thatcoldblackcloud You're so lame and boring. Have you ever even read up on his villains. If you're new to DC this is a great starting series that shows how badass the Rogues are. You might also want to pick Geoff John's run on the Flash ass well as Rogues Revenge to see how good of villains they are. Flash has one of the best rogues galley. Look at the sheer diversity of his rogues gallery. Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, Trickster, Heat Wave, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse Flash, Rainbow Raiders, Turbine, Top, Pied Piper, Tar Pit, Black Flash, Blacksmith, Spin, Abra Kadabra, Turtle Man, Cicida, Golden Glider, Colonel Computron, Rag Doll, Shade, Thinker, Cobalt Blue, Dr. Alchemy, Double Down, Fallout, Eel, Eradicator, Fiddler, Girder, Magneta, Murmur, Replicant and Kilg%re to name a few.
One of the most diverse and awesome rogues galleries ever.

@dellamorte1872
No one's rogue gallery is near the caliber as Batman's. Supes has Lex, Zod, Braniac, Metallo, Cyborg Superman, Bizarro, etc...all awesome villains. I added spidey bcuz I was talking about ALL superhero rogue galleries, not just DC.

@ SunFire

Yeah a gorilla is really one of Flashes arch nemesis, so deal with it. He was introduced in 1959 so it is not like DC just whipped him up.

Love it or hate but the ape is not going anywhere.
SnapperCarr
SnapperCarr - 9/3/2013, 9:03 PM
@dellamorte1872 Wonder Woman may appear to have a weak rogues gallery, but its due to lack of usage that it seems small. Cheetah, Ares, Circe and Giganta are the big ones most people know. Doctor Cyber, Doctor Poison, Doctor Psycho, Veronica Cale, Egg Fu, Silver Swan and Baroness Von Gunther have a lot of untapped potential.

Hmmm Gorilla Grodd from DC introduced 1959

Or Marvel's version Man Ape! Introduced 1969

You are 100% correct nothing will compare with Batman or Spiderman's rogue of villains.

Not to be a dick but Batman comes in first.

And Spidey a close second.

A good rogues gallery always helps with the popularity of the character and I think that is one of the very several reasons why Batman and Spiderman are some of the more popular super heroes

@SnapperCarr

Ya Flash has a diverse cast of villains but you got to admit his is probably the most dated, names wise at least, of most superheroes with Captain Boomerang, the Trickster, Mirror Master, and Weather Wizard being some of his most famous. Nothing against the characters but name wise they are definitely the most dated of current main super villains.

You got to tell me though some of his other less famous
villains can't still be used beyond jokes like Abra Kadabra, Colonel Computron, Turtle Man, and especially the Rainbow Raiders sounds like some bad joke team of gay super villains.

Personally Flash is one of my favorite DC superheroes and he was my favorite in the JL/JLU cartoon series but you have to admit he has a pretty funny rogue gallery.

Though who has the best rogues gallery of course it's Batman number one with Spider-man right behind him in all of comics. I would go with Superman third just because he does have some of the best villains in DC.
Fourth I would go with the X-men while they are a team besides Wolverine they are always together and they do have a great rogues gallery. Apocalypse and his four horseman usually whoever is one of them, Mr Sinister and his Marauders, Mystique, Trask and his sentinels, and of course one of the best villains in all of comics Magneto and his Brotherhood

After that for me it is hard to choose who because while their rogue galleries aren't the most impressive they do have great individual villains or a couple of great villains. Captain America has Red Skull and Baron Zemo, Green Lantern has Sinestro, Thor has Loki, yet if I had to choose a fifth and mostly because of their main villain and second because they have had the most runs in with the other one would be the Fantastic Four. Again they are a team but they are a family and always together and they have again one of the greatest villains in all of comics and my personal favorite in Marvel Dr. Doom. Second to Dr. Doom they have had the most run in with Galactus and come on when you have run ins with the eater of worlds and stop him from eating ours multiple times that is awesome.

So my list of top rogue galleries would be
1.Batman
2.Spider-man
3.Superman
4.X-men
5.Fantastic Four

1-Batman Rogues
2-Spider-Man Rogues
3-Captain America Rogues (Zemo, Red Skull,Crossbones,MODOK,etc)
4-Superman Rogues
5-Flash Rogues

I'd add the xmen and the avengers but i wanted to focus on single characters.

This is why Flash wont work for the movies if u deal with his rogues gallery.

You would either have to create brand new ppl (which yall DC lovers would hate), or u give him someone else's baddie.

Only decent person he has is reverse flash. As cool as Grodd can look, the idea of him being someone's baddie is ridiculous. Especially for someone as "The Flash"
SnapperCarr
SnapperCarr - 9/4/2013, 6:27 AM
@Pesmerga44 Yeah Turtle Man(Though he now has the ability to steal speed) and Rainbow Raiders are jokes. Colonel Computron is too, but I think if he was revamped into a fast processing super speed robot that would be pretty cool.

However Abra Kadabra is far from being a joke. He's one Flash's top foes.
