Great follow up to death in the family, I like how Bruce is learning his skills from criminals and when he's done learning from them he puts them in jail.

I've thought the same Splenda, but I like the colorization in this issue.

The detail in the Court of Owls was sick though. Two great guys in the industry still on this book, so I'm happy.

I think that red hood is Batman's Father, I know that sounds crazy, but I think DC Comics wants to make Red Hood's discovery a shocker.

The guy who was the Joker was the first Red Hood.

This guy is Joker.

This is pre-Joker before his dip in that vat of chemicals.

This is the first Red Hood not the Jason Todd Red hood. This isn't a new helmet, the design has been in Batman comics for some time.

Honestly the past few issues have been rather dissapointing. I still think Snyder is one of the best out there, hands down, but Batmans origin should be much better than this.

RED HOOD FACTS:

Jason Todd: Not the first Red Hood
Joker: Not the first Red Hood (though he was dressed as the Red Hood in Batman's FIRST confrontation with him)
The Red Hood: Originally and first, there was a red hood gang comprised of many people. They hired random men and the hood passed from one person to the next so as to never give away the leader. Like The Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride: there have been many Red Hoods.

It would seem this retelling of the origin story picks up when the was the RED HOOD GANG and EVERYONE wore the hood (which was a mask that always looked the way it does in this featurette... more like a helmet with no eyes).

I love how everyone has such strong opinions about a story history they don't know a lot about and is always evolving and changing.

I'm excited to see what the story looks like this time from this great pair!

The sarcastic manner

The violence

The Tactics = A more Stable version of The Joker. The clues are there.

I wasn't liking Zero Year until this past 3rd issue. The Nygma/Wayne confrontation, along w/ the backup story made me giddy
