Countdown to Green Lantern (Part I): What color of the spectrum are you?

Do you have the power to overcome great fear? Or do you have the power to inspire it? Are you easily driven to rage? Obsessed with love? Compassionate to a fault? Do you wish you had everything? Are you hopeful about the future?

The following poll is meant to generate discussion in the run-up to Green Lantern’s release date. Pick one of the seven colors of the Emotional Spectrum and then give your reasons for your pick. Whether because you identify emotionally with that color or because it’s simply your favorite color. Basically, if you could be a lantern, which one would you be? If you have a reason, or just want to talk about Green Lantern things, you may comment below.

The emotional alignment of each individual color of lantern is as follows:

Red (Red Lantern Corps): Rage
Orange (Agents of Orange): Avarice
Yellow (Sinestro Corps): Fear
Green (Green Lantern Corps): Willpower
Blue (Blue Lantern Corps): Hope
Indigo (Indigo Tribe): Compassion
Violet (Star Sapphires): Love

Black Lanterns and White Lanterns will not be part of the selection process as those two colors have more to do with Life versus Death than any kind of personality quirk.

By the way, I’m a Black Lantern (it says so on my screen name), so I will not be taking part. But I’ll be interested to see your alignments and how strongly you connect with each color so that I may better devour your hearts —err… I mean… This is just for fun! Really!!
