AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #850 Drops Another Big Hint About Kindred's Real Identity - SPOILERS

Amazing Spider-Man #850 went on sale today, and while the landmark issue didn't reveal who Kindred is, it did drop some big hints following a big team-up between the web-slinger and Green Goblin...

Amazing Spider-Man #850 is well worth picking up, though some fans may be disappointed that Kindred's identity isn't revealed. After the wall-crawler is forced to team up with the Green Goblin (Norman Osborn takes the Goblin Serum again near the start of the issue), he throws the villain to the mercy of the Sin-Eater after he repeatedly threatens Spider-Gwen.

In an epilogue, it's strongly hinted that Kindred is someone from Spider-Man's life who has died.

As you can see below, he stands in front of a grave, but we never learn who that belongs to. One of the most popular theories is that Kindred is Harry Osborn, and that the Harry who returned from the dead is a clone or something along those lines. That would explain his hatred of Peter and Norman, though it is still possible this is the pre-One More Day Peter Parker.

Why would he be looking at a grave? Well, it could be Gwen Stacy's, with this a misdirect of sorts to throw us off the scent. Either way, it's definitely a shame that Amazing Spider-Man #850 failed to reveal the villain's identity, though we can only hope that changes with next week's issue.

What did you guys think about Nick Spencer's landmark issue?

Its definitely not Peter. That theory is annoying. Mephisto only wanted his love and marriage with MJ, not his soul. My personal theory is its Ned Leeds or Harry Osborn. The latter is confusing as isn't Harry alive and well? Has been for over a decade if I'm not mistaken.

@fanboy03191 - it's the demonic manifestation of Peter's soul from OMD. Mephisto said a part of his soul would remain there and would always remember. This is actually a better theory to me than Gwen or Harry because it has the potential to clean up OMD. This is what we as Spider-Man fans have always wanted. It also creates a new character who is already familiar with Peter and all his rogues gallery.

Watch her be Gwen Stacy

@AndrewHolland - They're sure talking a lot lately about Gwen and how her death has affected Peter's. And Gwen was the one that Norman Osborn took from Peter so it would make sense considering their forced team-up here.

I haven't read Spider-Man in years. Which issue should I start from if I want to read through this story arc?

I've always wondered how Norman Osborne's Goblin mask has full range of facial expressions.

@Shroombeast - How does Spidey blink or emote through his eyes?

Theories are always 99.9 percent wrong of time wait and see who it is in book Harry I don’t believe it I will be surprised I don’t believe it to be him , yeah as others have said not peter Parker someone who we least expect but I don’t like spider man books I only like spiderman villains and venom and miles morales.

Wait and see what books show it is I’m no spiderman fan peter is smart but he’s not that smart to make his own billion dollar company all on his own he had to steal it away from doc oc when he was peter at time peter is smart comics always make him stupid use his brain more he made web shooters show peter making other stuff with his brain of his if he is able to if not making stuff use it solve problems

Idk about a team up with Gobby. The dude raped Gwen Stacy, killed her, forced his son into his horrible legacy, ruined countless lives, and is just an all around bastard. Comics characters are more forgiving than the outside world, that's for sure

it probably won't happen if the rumors that marvel wants to cast a bigger star are true, but jimmi simpson is my choice for norman osborn. dude was great on westworld.

@JFerguson - that's a great pick, very inspired! My choice is actually fellow Sunny Alumni Glenn Howerton. Feel he'd crush the dual role of Norman and Green Goblin.
