COMICS: A First Look At Captain America's Hydra Costume From SECRET EMPIRE Has Been Revealed

With his villainous nature soon to be revealed to the Marvel Universe, Captain America will don a brand new costume for Secret Empire, and the iconic red, white and blue is now nowhere to be seen...

Captain America was turned into a villain as a result of a Cosmic Cube, and the current Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. will make his allegiance to Hydra known in the upcoming Secret Empire event. With that comes a brand new costume, and as you can see, the traditional red, white and blue is now has been swapped out for the somewhat more sinister Hydra green!

This is a very different take on Steve Rogers and one which may not sit well with fans. Of course, many hope that he'll be returned to his old self by the time all is said and done, but can his reputation ever be salvaged in the eyes of the public and his fellow heroes?

Time will tell, but before you get too excited about the prospect of getting your hands on the action figure below, bear in mind that it is just a variant cover and sadly not the launch of a line of toys similar to those released for Secret War many moons ago. It's hard not to wonder if we could end up seeing this storyline brought to the big screen at some point, though!
