Check out these two new movie variant covers for Marvel's next Avengers event titled Avengers Solo that features Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Marvel has released a couple of movie variant covers for an upcoming series titled Avengers Solo. The covered features Chris Evans in his new updated Captain America suit that will be featured in The Avengers, as well as Chris Hemsworth as Thor The God Of Thunder. Below the movie variants is the regular cover by John Tyler Christopher. The series will be written by Jen Van Meter and will be drawn by Roger Robinson. The series will roll out on October 26, 2011.

@Gaston It must be because of the set photos, and that we haven't seen a proper shot of it post-production beyond concept/promo art (where it looks perfect).
Both covers are epic.

And his ears are showing. I'm starting to think they'll cgi ears in or something cause his ears aren't there in set pics but are in everything official.

Is it just me or is Thor wearing two different boots? It looks like one goes all the way up to his knee and the other doesn't quite.

I like Cap's suit.

I hope they do add ears I think it may make his dome appear a bit more normal size : )

if Cap can manage to look anything like he does in that pic then i'll be thrilled, cuz in those set pics he looks like a scrawny clown....so far he only looked good with the helmet off

It's where how the helmet and the collar part of CA suit that's a bit off. They should have left the collar and had the helmet separate with a chin strap like in the Ultimates and in CA First Avenger movie.

Schweet! Hope Cap's ears are added in with CGI. It makes no sense why they're uncovered in all the merchandise pictures but not in any setpics. And I see The Hulk's arm in Cap's pic :D. Thor always looks awesome but....WHERE IS THE HELMET! That thing was badass in its 20 seconds in Thor!

@gaston it's not the suit, it's who's wearing it that I don't like. The suit is perfect. Cap isn't supposed to be skinny.

Cap's suit looks really cool there, but I think in the movie his ears aren't showing like they are here.

Wicked...not just the design, but the whole art as well! A bit part of Thor's boots may look a bit too robotic though, but whatever - he and Captain America look perfect. :)
