The first issue was rather slow and confusing but I'm excited for issue #2.

Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Beast have always been my favorite mutants.

How come Beast is a hypocrite right now?
I'm always behind on the comics.

Cyclops had the Phoenix power forced upon him by one of Wolverines buddies. Wolverine proceeded to poke and prod Cyclops until it all came to a head. Why does boning Emma matter? Wolverine has a new girl every week, many of them are killers. He banged Mystique when he was last in Japan. So while Magneto is known to not have killed Jean(thus making this point well pointless), he worse then the guy who actually would have killed Jean if she wasn't more powerful. And hey at least Wolverine didn't try to kill Xavier and thus force Xavier to basically mind rape the hell out of Wolverine to defend himself.........

At least Wolverine didn't continue to lead a mutant execution squad that led to death of thousands of innocent people because he supported a a man with metal wings........

At least Wolverine hasn't killed recently.........

By calling a superhero team of good guys the "Illuminati", one has to question whether or not we are being brainwashed into thinking the real illuminati are out for our best interests, since now-a-days they hide in plain sight.

@jimoakley - Whoa. Mind blown. When someone lays it out like that, it makes me stop liking Cyclops at all. Never did like the whole "cheating on Jean" thing. I miss good guy Scott. So... to All-New X-Men!

Wolverine's concern about the children being used to fight is stupid. The x men has always been about teenagers learning to fight on teams. What the heck was all that danger room training for? You had the new mutants, the hellions. The kids had best be able to protect themselves because the mutant hate groups don't suffer from age decrimination. Wolverine's whole path of logic was forced and made no sense considering continuity where he has trained kitty and jubilee to fight and has also taken them into battle. Logan's switch was for the sake of story, they had to produce schism and have that lead into A vs X. But Marvel made Wolverine look like a hypocritical pussy in the process. This guy has killed hundreds, while chomping on a cigar, yelling he's the best there is at killing. Now....he has a conscious, mighty convenient. This is why cyclops journey makes more sense, he stood by his convictions to protect his people in the face of an ass hole Captain America who shows up, demanding Scott hand over hope. This is an out of character pushy Cap who doesn't think of working with the x men to fend of the Phoenix or to see what their next move should be together. Cap is more like Ultimate Cap, it's my way or the highway.

This whole thing stunk of bad writing and forced characterizations. Cap's an asshole, wolverine is a hypocrite and traitor. And fans let Marvel know that even when they try and vilify cyclop's, we know a hero when we see one. Cyclops was right Wolvie and Cap not so much. Here's another thing, wolverine is so hyped to protect the kiddies in schism but so eager to kill hope in A vs X....huh? You'd thing he'd look for another option first being that he's all about the kids now. Terrible writing there Marvel.

@jimoakley666- stop trying to justify bad storytelling on Marvels part. They have made mistakes with both characters. The biggest with wolverine recently. Cyclops characterization does make sense, he's always been logical and cold. I can see him being attracted to Emma. She's his yen to his yang. Cyclops is a three dimensional character, wolverine more one or two dimensional. Cyclops has made mistakes and overcome them but his mistakes makes him human and relatable. Wolverine is a killing machine who heals from everything to keep on killing. There's not a lot to the character outside of his penchant for liking red headed women that belong to someone else and his crazy backstory. Still we love the character but in this instance Marvel has been [frick]ing him over ever since they threw his popular ass on Avengers hoping x fans would pick up the book and sales would increase. It's a shame that Marvel threw away the mutual respect both cyclops and wolvie had shown for each other of the last few years for an event story where they tried to make Avengers their flag ship group due to the popularity of the movie. They damn near destroyed both cyclops and wolverine in the process.

Anyone notice Wolverine murdering a bunch of Neanderthals on sight in the Savage Wolverine #1 preview? Probably not since murdering people is pretty much what he does in every issue...
