Brian Michael Bendis took to podcasts - specifically the Word Balloon podcast - to announce that a whole host of artists would be joining him on the upcoming . The issue will be a double-sized special, with Bruce Timm, J. Scott Campbell, David Mack, Skottie Young, Art Adams, Grampa and a number of Pixar and Tumblr artists to illustrate it.
"I like when we bury some announcement in the middle of the podcast," Bendis told Word Balloon. "All-New X-Men #25, is a double, close to triple-size anniversary issue. It's kind of like the tail-end of the fiftieth anniversary of the X-Men celebration. It is an all-star jam issue, and we specifically went for people who I've never worked with before, or, literally, you'll never get a whole book out of them. We're putting together the final pieces right now, but Bruce Timm and Art Adams and Paul Smith and quite a few other people are joining us.
"I can't even tell you how excited I am," the writer continued. "Pixar artists are in it, some guys that are Tumblr heroes like Dan Hipp, and some other people... There's this dude - I can't remember his name off the top of my head, but there's a guy on Tumblr that does these Jean Grey stories that he writes and draws. And they're hilarious, and we got him. He's gonna do a piece, and it's his Marvel debut."
All-New X-Men #25 hits shelves in April.
