strut your stuff; it's not terrible. Sorry I love the old school Cpt. Marvel. Bought the Marvel Universe book of the dead just for him. I have die cast miniatures and played Marvel in the '80's! Say what? Say wha? :-P Those were great tools for character creation! Aided in my ability to illustrate as well! I actually dug the MAr-Vell take from 5/6? years ago(sorry guys, as I get older collecting is predicated upon how well life is going). Carol will be in Joss's sequel, sorry I'm so down on him, I like him, but he comes off(to me, please don't get in an uproar)as someone that is sooo close to greatness & drops the ball. Chiwetel Ejiofer(?)in Serenity is one of the greatest cinematic characters ever.., IMO. Great character! Jane getting a harpoon thru the leg? I love Malcolm Reynolds!!!! We got this.., Whedon is solid with character creation!

@Theunderdog

I cheat a lot. I take celebrities and fuse them into comic book characters. It's a win win for me; they never look like the actor, but come off as solid workings. If any illustrator has block, go to a book store, grocery or search online.., & draw inspiration from what actor you'd want to see in a cbm. I have a crap load of images that are publishable, but if I said what I was originally going for, it would be a Singer/Pfister stonefest. Stonefest 2012, brahhh!

^That's if you have block folks. Many do this. One of my personal favourites is an illustration I did of William Shatner as Duke Leto. I know that sounds batsh!t, but it came off great! Was watching the commentary to Halloween & I wanted to do what they did; use, but hide Shat's likeness in the design. Plopped some generic troops & Duncan behind him too! I did not draw from any image for said background characters.

@Theunderdog

I have a buddy in ATL that's a tattoo artist and he does the same thing! Man give me a few weeks; I'm mostly pencil, so you might understand the hesitation, but I'm one of those "make the fantastical pragmatic dudes." I love Granov, Ross, Reis, Perez('80's), Byrne, Jansen, Gibbons, & countless others, but as far as the new school is concerned, I'm not down: not 'cause I don't like them, can't afford to stay current. -Sad Basterd

Think that amazing Mondo Iron Man 3 poster that recently released. I'm a pencil version of that. I am amateur; be kind.

I love the image of Stark dragging the armor in the snow; sorry that trailer frikkin' gave me goosebumps!

back to topic: Ms Marvel is kind of awesome, but I'm impartial. I think the art is good! Look at some low rent titles, then come back to the panels above! Sorry the account that is JLABatman0511, I have to disagree in the best way possible. They are not the greatest,but they framed the material superbly! The inkings are a bit Hawkman '87(weak), but still, what's in the panel is not bad. Remember Aparo and Station? Those guys are heralded, drew for many of my books growing up & I always thought they were dung.., especially if Theakston inked 'em.

You know who ruled the '80's outside of Byrne? Walt Simonson's X-Factor and Thor were some favourites of mine! Okay, I'm done, sorry. Been a pig.
