THis seems like a confirmation that GOTG will be the next Marvel film. Avengers Assemble was made to act as a tie-in of sorts for viewers of the film, hence Thanos, so they probably saw it as a good way to familiarise people only familiar with the movies, with the Guardians and Thanos who are less well known.

the badoons are back...i wonder if that means the rumors of the movie are true. I thought they had swipped the plot details from the guardians' past but perhaps not...

the details basically said they would battle the badoons and travel back in time (which means in theory in the movie the members such as rocket racoon were either from the future or joined in the present during the movie)

like the guardians on facebook:

I really hope Star-Lord doesn't look like this in the movie. His outfit from the 2008 series was so badass. One of the sickest helmets in the Marvel U.

WTF is Marvel's obsession with blond dudes?

Captain America - blond
Thor - blond
Hawkeye - blond
Hank Pym - blond
Disguised Mar-Vell - blond

and now

Peter Quill - blond

That's shit, how could we know the difference among them?

i thought widow and bucky were a couple. now she's going after hawkeye because of the movies. i guess her namesake is to blame.

I've read the first 4 issues of Avengers Assemble and it just seems really weak compared to Bendis' other takes on the Avengers, the whole thing just seems contrived. Like Thanos is there just because? Theres not even a connection to the events of his last comic appearance. either. Marvel finally started making great movies, don't start making crappy comics now. Plus it seems about 4 pages shorter than the average comic. WTF?
