Thanks to IGN Comics, we have a first look at the cover for Avengers Vs. X-Men #4. Whether the image is an indication that Hope merges with the Phoenix Force and then goes on the run from both teams is anyone's guess at this point, but be sure to stay tuned for even more details in the coming weeks and months.

Has it been confirmed of why the Avengers are fighting the X-men yet? I bet it's over Hope, at least it seems that way in Avengers X-Sanction.

But seriously Marvel don't kill any good heroes this event! Just kill Hope!

Someone posted a preview to the first issue yesterday. They fight because the Phoenix Force is coming to earth and Wolverine tells the Avengers it's going for Hope. Cap wants to secure the situation to prevent world-shattering damage from the PF. Cyclops on the other hand wants to embrace it because he thinks they can prepare Hope to control it and put Mutant-kind back on top.

I hope Hope ISN"T killed because I want to see the epic potential she is hinted to by Bishop and Cable. In Bishop's future she's the reason mutants are in camps with M's on their faces. In Cable's future she's a savior. Sooooo much potential for great story lines there.

Kinda, but I can't remember what issue or storyline. Maybe when they see future Tony during that one story line in the beginning of the current Avengers comic....

I wasn't saying Hope is the issue, the Avengers wouldn't care who, but Wolverine makes it clear to the Avengers that every mutant that's "in the know" feels like it's going to her so that's where they start. Basically wherever Hope is when it comes to Earth will be Ground Zero.

cool, but kind of agitates me

I love Jim Cheung's work but he needs to find a new pose, every time I see his work its as if the poses sort of look the same, from one cover to the next. I'm not saying all his covers are like that but some

the x-men went downhill after claremont left the book,don't get me wrong there was some good stories after him but you can't beat those classic claremont years.

i still read the x-men,it was the title that got me into comics in the first place.

I just saw the Ravagers cover art and now I'm looking at this one.

maybe hope will be its offical host ......or maybe she was born with the powers of the phoenix ...without being phoenix ...maybe thats her mutant ability....maybe the phoneix / jean grey is coming to help her coax with her soon to be unleashed powers .....so she doesnt destroy everything ...she is alittle pig head and needs guidness that cyk cant seem to give without pushing her further into rebellion.
