Kind of an odd way to pick up from where they left off. The last issue ended with Peter pulling off the mask, in tears, likely because of seeing Gwen. In this one, he seems so causal. Like "Wow! this is crazy!" Didn't want to read much of this before getting the issue, so maybe the next few pages capture that emotion more.

Man ultimate Aunt May has been threw a lot. And its kinda sad seeing this Peter talking to Gwen, even with her being a clone and all

This series bothers the hell out of me because I feel just like Aunt May and Gwen.

I don't want 616 Spider-Man. I want Peter Parker back in the Ultimate Universe. I like Miles, but both could exist and I'd be a happy camper. :(

I'd pick this up,but according to Rob Liefeld Bendis is a D-lister because he's never written Deadpool,so I might pass...lol

[This is in reference to an ongoing Twitter war that started this morning between Liefeld and...well,everyone actually...revolving around Deadpool's creative teams..amazingly goofy stuff...]

While Peter has experienced multiple universes(which makes his reactions very surprising), the Ultimate verse while aware of other worlds haven't actually been to worlds that contained their heroes. The zombie verse was the closest and only the UFantastic Four dealt with that. Fury has only dealt with a Squadron Supreme universe.

But Peter just went to an alternate dimension last year with Hulk and Deadpool.....but whatever. Alternate dimensions are X-men territory. I mean half the damn team is from the future, past, alternate, upside down, and opposite universes.

Guys, I don't think it's so much the fact that it's an alternate universe, but an alternate universe in which Spider-Man is universally hailed as a hero, there's a new Spidey, Peter Parker is dead, and Gwen Stacy is alive. An alternate universe aesthetically similar yet so radically different on a personal level... why wouldn't he be shaken up?

I still take issue with the first encounter between Miles and 616 Peter, where Miles defeats Peter fairly easily. As much as I want to love the rest of this series, that whole thing was nonsense. 616 Peter would be done with Miles in about 3 seconds.
