The President has asked him to win the war in Afghanistan, the UN has asked him to feed the starving and the world needs saving 24/7. But Superior doesn't even break a sweat. He can handle all this in stride until his past comes catching up with him and he finds out why a 12-year-old boy with special needs was given these powers in the first place. This is a must-read issue where the mystery that has been plaguing fandom for the past twelve months is finally revealed in a shocking twist.

Many thanks to Comic Book Resources for the following preview.

I really can't care. It's just beyond my emotional capacity. It's like watching a fish swim with one fin in a bucket. You know where's it's going and even if there might be some surprises down the line, how the [frick] can you really give a shit? You'll never be blown away by it. It's just bound to be a floater.

Glad to see Millar got his head out of his own ass long enough to finish a series.

@ jimoakley666- Is Superior being led down a path that is set to benefit America? Yes. He is a kid at heart so he lacks the understanding of the overall situation and the consequences that could and will arise. I think your concerns on this viewpoint is where Sharpie comes into the story. Which I imagine is the speck in the sky.

Sharpie will end up being the Yin to Superior's Yang. Showing that while Superior may want to rid the world of crime, war, and all that is bad it truly can't be done.

I not sure I like the religious undertones of this story, yet. Knowing Millar's work this has the potential of making Satan seem logical, but with the twists Millar is known for we could see another twist before the end of this story that totally baffles us all in a good way. I have a feeling that is what will happen since this is the opposite story telling structure of something like Nemesis. That is where Chris will come into play. His name is only a letter away from Satan's biggest threat...Christ! So religiously speaking that would make the profound statement that Christ was with Simon when no one else was.

Sorry if I spoiled your story, Mark. I just see the writing on the wall and I love it!

This book isn't bad. But there's just something about it (maybe the wannabe Superman angle) that just doesn't do it form me. It's like I want to keep reading beyond issue 1, but I don't feel like it.

I like this preview. I may give it a shot...eventually...maybe...someday.

One thing's for certain, I hated kick-ass so much I didn't even finish reading it...it was sooo retarded...and That other white batman wannabe book...Nemesis was it? Sucked also.

The first issue of Superior wasn't bad, but it just doens't do it for me... maybe it's the art too, I dunno

It's a funny because before this issue was released he claimed he would go after Osama. Looks like the delay went back and bit Millar in the ass. XD

P.S. Wtf is wrong with you Millar and GL!?
