COMICS: First Look At Matt Fraction And Francesco Francavilla's HAWKEYE #12

Following last month's critically acclaimed "Pizza Dog" issue is no easy task, but Matt Fraction (Fantastic Four) is joined by Francesco Francavilla (Black Panther: The Man Without Fear) for another rather brilliant looking tale. Hit the jump for a preview!

• The sleeper hit of 2012 is now the can't miss book of 2013 (and probably the overhyped book you're sick of people talking about in 2014!)
• Reeling from the events of the last issue, even Hawkeye wants to know what his new status quo is. Who's with him? Who's against him? Who's trying to kill him and why? So many dang questions!
• And just when Clint's rock bottom couldn't arrive fast enough...'Then Came Barney'

Yes, because the giant purple domino mask is sooo much better.

I do NOT understand why people like that purple costume and mask. Just looks stupid. Nostalgia? Big deal. I'd prefer something that actually, y'know, looks good and makes sense.

@AUSSYACE
That's Bullseye in Hawkeye's costume.

The comic series is about when Hawkeye is not being a superhero so he wouldn't wear the costume.

What surprises me is how average the panel layouts are since it is Francavilla on the art duties.

That's not Clint by the way, if any of you were confused.

This book is so much better when its drawn by david aja. And the work he does is both VERY simplistic AND digital. Why the hell can't the man stay on schedule?

This is probably in the top three comics out right now. I suggest it very highly to anyone who hasn't picked it up yet

I'd love to see an origin story in the MCU where they show Hawkeye wearing the purple suit as a performer in the circus. That's the only place that it would work.

If they wear to show Hawkeye's origins in the movies with that purple suit featuring SwordsMan and Trickshot as his trainers in the circus, then that would be a very cool thing to see.
