@53...I'm almost caught up with this whole AvX series. Gotta say, man, this $h!t is pretty intense. Gotta see if Siege is the same as well. Secret Invasion was also pretty awesome to, if I may say. :)

@53...Yeah, that little match between Thing and Namor isn't that much of a fair fight to me (I think Namor could've easily taken out the Thing). Oh, well. And as for that match between Cap and Gambit? Totally thought it was sick, brah.

So I haven't been following is has an xman killed an avenger yet or vice versa?

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but this whole AvX started with Cable wanting to kill ever single Avenger because in the future Rachel Summers dead and the future is reduced to ashes, so Cable must kill all of the Avengers in order to insure Rachel's life. And because of that, the Avengers and the X-Men are in controversy of whether or not Rachel should live or die, and that's how come they're all up against each other.

@63

From what I remember about the Cable mini event, it's had little to no impact on the AvX series. And it's not Rachel, but Hope that all the fuss is about. Simply put, the Phoenix has been detected heading towards Earth and everyone knows it's coming for Hope (Wolverine told the Avengers). The Avengers think they should hide Hope until they can find a way to make the Phoenix leave or destroy it. The X-Men think Hope should be the next Phoenix and resurrect the mutant genome.

Isn't Hyperion Marvel's original take on "Superman"?

And didn't he give Gladiator a hair-cut of sorts?

Right in the eye

@spideyQuad

Yeah Hyperion is Marvel's direct analog to Superman, as was the entire Squadron Supreme to JLA, but Marvel has based quite a few characters on Superman.
