No way they kill Yondu off in the first 3 pages of this series this has to be a vision of the future or the girl can go back in time or something along those lines.

Sandoval's art style is like a combination between Joe Madureira and Humberto Ramos. This looks pretty dope. I'm gonna check it out.

@bls91183

That is Vance Astro of Earth 691 who is the mutant hero Justice who was part of the Avengers for a time. In the future he is an astronaut that volunteers for a manned space mission to the far off planet of Centauri IV they give him a special life preserving suit which is what he is wearing here and it takes him over a thousand years to reach the planet. From there he meets Yondu and then the Badoon attack. The Badoon take over the entire Solar System and they meet and join together with the other members. They find Cap's shield and he takes it up to help in the fight to take back the Solar System.

They must have killed off Yondu so they could resurrect him in such a way to make him more like he was in the movie...

I really wish Abnett was writing the current Guardians series. Bendis just doesn't get it.

No way Yondu is dead. He is technically the most high profile of these characters due to the movie.

I'm sure Yondu is only severely injured, take him out in the beginning and when the Guardians are in their time of greatest need. Yondu will rise and bring an army of Rohirrim with him to save the day!

The art is pretty good but what's up with everyone's mouths? They're like those snakes that can unhinge their jaws. And you can't grit your teeth and open your lips that wide. LOL

From New Warrior to Avenger and then a Guardian of the Galaxy. Vance sure has come a long way.

I wonder if he ever misses being able to look into a mirror and see his actual face?

Love the Artwork! Hopefully this will be the only New GUARDIANS book.

Unlike when The AVENGERS movie came out and to cash in, every other Marvel book was an Avengers title. lol :)

@ScionStorm
Technically, he was a Guardian first, then when Vance came back in time, he told his younger self not to become an astronaut which led to him being Justice instead. So, yeah, it's the other way around.
