Because you demanded it! The X-Women finally get their own book, from critically acclaimed superstars Brian Wood (X-MEN, ULTIMATE X-MEN, DMZ, The Massive) and Olivier Coipel (AVX, HOUSE OF M, THOR)! An old enemy shows up at the X-Men’s door, seeking asylum from an ancient evil come back to earth. Meanwhile, Jubilee has come home, and she’s brought with her an orphaned baby who might hold the key to the earth’s survival…or its destruction. Against a backdrop of what seems like an alien invasion and an eons-spanning war between brother and sister, Storm steps up and puts together a team to protect the child and stop a new threat that could destroy all life on earth!

He's right. Payphones don't have redial buttons. Also, it's first period in Westchester, but Grand Central is nearly empty? Ah, nitpicking. NERDRAGE!

They make the mutant kids wear uniforms? That makes no sense whatsoever...

Since when do pay phones have redial on them? Furthermore, it's very difficult most places to even FIND a pay phone, except by some gas stations in less desirable parts of town. Police or like the FBI can obtain phone records for pay phones, but it takes more than hitting a convenient redial button to obtain them.

And for that matter, Jubilee is a modern teenage girl WITHOUT a cell phone? Come on! Unless Jubilee was Amish, I find that very hard to believe.

I'm not much of a stickler for 'realism' in comics, but these two things are completely unrealistic and contrived. Lazy storytelling, unless this story is set no later than maybe around 1998 or '99. The only way this works if Jubilee is complaining in the first panel that she appears in that her cell is dead, and what luck! she found a pay phone! And she has enough change to make a call!

Then there is the matter of the art, where everybody has the same face, and only hairstyles differentiate anybody. Meh. Do like the "li'l X-Men" cover. That's at least whimsical and creative.
