what the f*ck is up with the tech claws?
hehemata
hehemata - 8/23/2014, 7:12 PM
guy has adamantium coating his bones. his bones won't decay quickly, and will likely be preserved for very very long

in this period, as long as a single cell with the healing factor remains, one day his bones will just come back to life for whatever deus ex story the writers stuff in-between

he's a healer, he won't truly die for long. his return is too easily explainable

also first

It feels like Wolverine has been a month away from dying for 2 years now...anyone else feel this way?

so he doesn't have bone claws anymore?

"The last wolverine story" yeah like that'll last

@hehemata He lost his Healing Factor and, even in his best days, he's no Deadpool. Wolvie can die from severe traumas to the brain, heart and other organs.

"ARRGHHH"? That just doesn't seem to fit that panel for some reason. I would have gone for a "RRRAAAA" or an "AAAAHHH" for the last-ever Wolverine story. Let's make it count, guys.

still I want to know why he has implanted and not organic claws
campblood
campblood - 8/23/2014, 8:04 PM
even the covers are suggesting implanted claws by the way they shatter

@Verzwei that's not the point. I'm pointing out how easily Wolverine could be resurrected with simple deus ex storylines.

To explain Steve Rogers's return, they had to retcon a whole complex story about time travel and the Red Skull.

In contrast, Wolverine's return will be much easier to explain due to his healing factor.

Example resurrection storyline: they could simply say that his "death" meant the virus died with him (or otherwise left him) when the majority of his cells died. And when this happened, suddenly the remaining uninfected cells would have regained the healing factor again, and Wolverine would just jump back to life.
It essentially helped that Wolverine's basic skeletal structure was preserved in its fundamental form due to adamantium, and his flesh could easily just regrow around it.

Second resurrection storyline example: Wolverine's bones are coated with adamantium and therefore are resistant to even the virus(or maybe impervious, depending on how well the virus travels up tendons. it could be a blood borne virus). Once his external flesh died and the virus died along with it, his cells as preserved by the adamantium would start regrowing and Wolverine would jump to life once the last infected cell dies off

Shouldn't it be, 1 month to live? Just makes more sense.

@dio I'm not talking about the panels where you clearly see they are fake claws, I'm talking about that X-ray skeleton picture

Is Sabertooth going to give that girl a magic singing pony? The suspense is killing me!

"Logan" has one month to live. That means that, after this storyline, he will change his name to Peppermint Buttersnatch and the adventures will continue.

I don't like the fact that Wolverine could be killed off.

Also, magic singing ponies are cool!!!

And he'll come back as a gay-black-woman.
Just about all Marvel's piss poor untalented creators can think up these days.

@campblood they try to get him to use those claws instead of his own, cause he runs the risk of bleeding out when he pops his (which he has been doing here and there when not wearing the sui)t. You gotta remember, those are fresh holes/wounds when ever he pops his own claws now without the healing to seal them up.

The x-ray cover is just a fancy way of showing off the suit claws. Don't over think it.

(Gotta love Doc Ock for that suit. Wish he would keep it after he comes back, but will have no use for it anymore when that happens.)

@hehemata he'll be back at some point by way of Death. She's the one that has set this all in motion. And most likely she'll miss the souls that Wolverine brings her. She seemed to get annoyed that he forgets who she is every time he dies, but it just doesn't seem like she's ready to "keep" him yet.

Damn, I hope we see Pinch and Lost Boy again after this event (get them to join the X-Men), and I hope they bring Sabretooth's sister and brother into current Marvel stories soon too.

Sabretooth is a bronie.

This doesn't even look interesting from all the previews I've followed. I'm ok with a gimmick as long as it ends in a great story, but this seems like nuthin.

I was kind of hoping for something brutal and endearing that illustrates the character in an iconic but insightful way that would maybe serve as a template for Jackman's last flick.

But nup - sabretooth bronie...

@TelaVizion i say this because it looks like the claws are implanted in the variant cover
rabid

He still has claws, he just can't pop them without bleeding heavy, so Beast and Otto Octavius helped build him a protective suit with its own set of claws. It's going to look way cool if he pops all 12 claws on Sabretooth at once.
But yeah, this fool ain't dying. He's going to get sucked into this alternate universe Sabretooth holds in his hand.
campblood
campblood - 8/24/2014, 6:05 PM
all i"m saying is that in this image they are clearly implanted bionic claws. evidence being the wires and tubes running along his bones.

Maybe it's the circuitry inside his suit.
