We all know that if Kick-Ass sequel is ever filmed, that it will be based off the second comic arc. Now little by little we get the second film in comic form each month from Mark Millar.

Red Mist takes on a new identity too vulgar for print and issues a command to all his super-bastards on Twitter to wreak havoc on New York. Meanwhile, the cops are cracking down on all costumed activity and tracing the secret identities of all the heroes. Could Dave get a knock on his door, and has enough spit hit the fan for Hit-Girl to pick up her sword again?

Writer - Mark Millar
Artist - John Romita, Jr.
MSRP - $2.99
Release Date - September 28th, 2011

This is a great comic, but I cannot stand jrj artwork. He makes everything way too cartoonish. I hate his work on the avengers.

Not really into the art... looks like a comic strip.
But if this leads to a sequel to the movie, can't wait!

jrjr just does plotting on kick ass 2, somebody else does all the pencilling and inking. you guys should actually read it before you judge this. you look like idiots

I'm sorry, but I just don't like Romita's art. Some things he does great, like the zoom in on Hitgirl on the third page. That little sneer on her is perfect. If you were looking you wouldn't notice. Little things like that I can appreciate, but I don't like the rest of the art.

Having a different artist on the book would just be wrong. Romita Jr's been there since the beginning of Kick-Ass.

It would be like if people read the Walking Dead after they found out about the show and dissing it because it's in black & white, or because Charlie Adlard's art is "cartoony".

Romita's the man.

JRJ's homogenized art style is dated and sloppy reeking of hubris and laziness. Miller is a nihilistic misanthropic hack.

guess i'm not alone. i mean, hey, there's no doubt JrJr's got talent...it's just not the kind of talent i'm into. his style is not the type i like, although i gotta say, for Kick-Ass, it somehow WORKS.

but in stuff like The Avengers, i'd rather prefer the works of Stuart Immonen, Olivier Coipel and even ALAN DAVIS..if Bendis could ever persuade him to come back to marvel and be his artist. i also like Billy Tan and Steve McNiven's artworks.
