"The general story is that Fantomex, a picaresque anti-hero and "greatest thief in history" -- you could see him as a Robin Hood type character -- is coerced by the villains of the book to steal an object of great destructive potential. As someone who has worked in screenwriting for the best part of the last decade, I approach comic book writing cinematically -- not just in terms of "widescreen action" but in terms of story structure and character-driven action. I didn't know that it was going to be a MAX book until a month or so into my work, so I felt a little more free to write events and themes I might not have been able to otherwise in the regular line."

Sounds pretty good, I'd read it. I just wonder if this MAX series would have Fantomex with his three brains or with the Marvel NOW stuff and have Cluster and Weapon XIII show up.

I rather think Gambit is a better thief..I bet Remy could steal that girl right from his hands before he knows it.

I still don't understand what sort of superpowers Fantomex has. Very confusing character.

@mctrinket His super power is being able to cast illusions or make his victim see a different "reality". He also has/had 3 brains, has nano active blood, is a very skilled marksman, acrobat, as well as highly trained in hand to hand combat. He also has an auto hypnosis ability which allows him to perform surgery on himself if needed. He also can heal faster in this mode. Oh and I can't forget his external nervous system that can act as a transportation device called E.V.A

Even though my Fantomex isn't strictly the one most people are used to, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Some people will like it, some people will not like it - I hope to generate enough curiosity between then and now to compel people to give it a try, so Shawn and I can knock their socks off when they get past the awesome covers!
