COMICS: Marvel Teases "X-Termination" As Worlds Collide In Mysterious 2013 Event

AoA Nightcrawler recently betrayed Wolverine and his team in the pages of Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force, but it now looks as if that wasn't the end of the story! Marvel has released the following teaser image for "X-Termination" featuring a battle between Wolverine and the traitor!

There's no details on a creative team or what series that "X-Termination" will occur in, but we DO know that it will be released next March. As you can see from the teaser image below (accompanied only by "World collide." on Marvel.com), the 616 version of Wolverine is battling the Age of Apocalypse Nightcrawler, and they're certainly not pulling any punches! Readers of Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force will know that the alternate version of Kurt Wagner recently betrayed Logan's team in order to get his revenge of the Blob and escaped with his "mother", Mystique. He came back during Uncanny X-Force's "Dark Angel" saga. UXF went to the AoA universe to acquire a celestial seed to rid the Apocalypse presence from Archangel. Some of the surviving AoA guys came back temporarily to help and AoA Kurt remained behind to kill the bad AoA guys who came back.

On a side note, the biggest threat to the AoA universe is in the AoA universe, he should just go back.

I dont think AoA Kurt was that wrong really. He let it be known when he decided stay that the only reason why he was staying was to kill the AoA baddies. He also let it be known 48 hours style that "we aint brothers, we aint partners, and we aint friends" very early on. UXF was supposed to help him get his enemies but they spent most of the time fighting their own battles. They did help him get AoA iceman, but it was only a matter of time before he chose his mission over the team. This was all forshadowed when he joined. Plus this was AoA Kurt who hated what AoA Logan had become. Even though it is not the same logan, stuff like that carries over.

Also AoA Kurt is bad ass. Wolvie should have some major problems dealing with AoA kurt.


I love Nightcrawler dearly, but I dont think the 616 version should ever come back. Second coming was crazy good, and Kurt went out like a G. Him coming back would cheapen his sacrifice.

that's some pretty shitty artwork there. some real 'rob liefeld' ignorance of structure & execution going on. especially the exit area where the sword comes out of logans arm? anybody else seeing this?

Though wolvie will probably win, AoA kurt is bad ass. He has been known to teleport heads from bodies. He has looser morals than 616 Kurt. Wolvie might have some troubles when it comes to this kurt, even though everyone knows who is going to win in the end.

Not saying that Kurt would win, just saying it wouldnt be easy for wolvie. Wolverine is to popular to really lose, but he should have a hard time with AoA Kurt. For one wolvie's feelings for 616 kurt would effect him. While AoA kurt doesnt share that same bond with Wolvie's AoA counterpart. AoA kurt has no problem with killing. Kurt has better agility/speed. This fight would be alot harder for wolvie than it would seem on the surface.
