COMICS: Nature of X-Men: Schism Revealed, First Look on #2 and #3!

Thanks to Bleeding Cool, check out the details and first look below:

Cyclops sets down his take on things pretty clearly in issue 1, with Storm arguing the other case. Basically Cyclops is in aggressive, retaliatory, confrontery mode, this is Israel during the Six Day War and pretty much up to the present day. Draw the line, stay strong, say “no more”. Storm is representing the more mediatory approach – which sounds like an interesting path for Wolverine to tread.

But this book also looks at past Wolverine/Cyclops bust ups, but also how well they work together today, even when they are at odds. It looks like it will be something even more than all the nations bringing out their Sentinel programmes to do that.

I hope Storm sides with Logan.

I am glad this isn't another fight because of a certain red head, and its over actual ideals. Well I am interested now definitely gonna give it a try, the idea of the event is intriguing not so sure about the aftermath but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I can't wait to pick this up. I've been dying for this series to start. Wolverine vs. Cyclops!

@ Jatevin

it sounds like she will.

@ intruder

personally, i would be happy either way Jean goes. this would be a perfect opportunity for Emma to break from Scott and set him up for Jean's return, which would hopefully fix his bad attitude.

but then again, if Jean returned and went with Logan, then it would just make the rivalry between him and Cyke even more serious!

that is assuming Jean is coming back any time soon. though i think she is, its time.

Jeans most def coming back. Remember when the Phoenix force left all carriers a while back, and no character has said anything about it yet? You'd think they'd be concerned with the remaining pieces of the most powerful force in the universe leaving for no reason.....

Hoping this turns out as badass as I think. Emma will leave scott, Namor is agitating the situation.

@ alcoholica

i definately remember the phoenix force leaving the carriers. I attributed that to the birth of Hope.

Hope is going to turn out to be Jean, i'm thinking, or somehow transforming into Jean.

@CorndogBurglar that would just be lame if she turns out to be Jean. Her position by far is the most interesting out of all the X-Men she's not exactly fond of Cyclops and Wolverine sort of blames her for Nightcrawlers death, although they sort of came to an understanding in recent issues. Which ever team she joins is definitely going to get a massive boost.

is this like Civil War but with x-men?

@ hellsing

i don't want hope to be jean either, but thats just what i was thinking is going to happen.

@ mikehawk

yeah, pretty much, just different ideals, and at the end the teams are going to split with Cyclops leading one, and Wolverine leading the other.

@ CorndogBurglar

Have you been reading Avengers - The Children's Crusade? If so, do you think the last issue just completely cancelled out the whole point of Hope?

@ alcoholica

actually man, i haven't been reading Children's Crusade. what is it about?

i mostly just follow the main issues, i don't usually pick up minis.

Magneto finds out ( can't remember the issue, but right after Second Coming) that Wiccan and Speed of the Young Avengers look just like Scarlett Witch's children (who died in some weird way) and have the same powers as the Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver (i wasn't familiar with the kids before this) so he goes searching for them since they might be his grandchildren. He finds them and their searching for the Scarlett Witch and think they are her children. Young Avengers get involved, Avengers get involved, Quicksilver, Doom, others. Anyways

***Spoiler***

They find her, she doesn't remember anything, they help her remember, she feels bad, tries to set things right, and it turns out she can reverse the de-powering on a one on one basis, and re-powers Rictor of X-Factor. That's how the last issue ended. Kinda defeats Hope's existence.

I honestly wish that Storm would leave Black Panther and get together with Logan.

ive been reading Avengers crusade and i kinda agree with u AlcoholicA.

Hopefully they keep wanda alive after this mini event but keep her a bit underpowered or whatever so they'll make Hope have more purpose
