Squirrel Girl has actually defeated a lot of heavy hitters in a fight.

Here's a list: Dr. Doom, Mandarin, Giganto, MODOK, Thanos, Terrax, Deadpool, Fin Fang Foom, Baron Mordo, Korvac, and Ego The Living Planet.

:)

obviously wolverine was gonna beat iron fist, squirrel girl is a shit character but if there was a poll squirrel girl vs batman i would definetly pick squirrel girl to beat batman.

LoudLon - 8/4/2011, 12:08 PM
What's more ridiculous to me than Squirrel Girl beating Wolverine is Wolverine beating Iron Fist in a martial arts fight.

Please...

Squirrel Girl is like a joke character, she outsmarted and defeated Dr. Doom in a comic a looooooong time ago.

so as a joke they had her continue beating all kinds of crazy characters, which i listed above.

so technically, its all a joke, but at the same time, it DID happen...

I really hate the way Bendis writes The Avengers. But I'm the only one in the world, so just ignore me.

Would be sweet if he put his claws through the back of her head in the next panel.

@ Forilaz

actually, no, i hate the way Bendis does it too. which is a shame, when he first started writing marvel, all of his stuff was all business. everything started getting too lighthearted and jokey in his stuff though.
ScionStorm
ScionStorm - 8/4/2011, 12:23 PM
Iron Fist shoulda won. Though admittedly Logan has had a looooooooong time of practice. That being said, it still looks like Wolverine is trying to tickle Iron Fist in that first panel on the third page right before the punch.

ScionStorm - 8/4/2011, 12:27 PM
Whatever Bendis . . .

I'm really liking Deodato's page layouts and panel staging.
Dedpool
Dedpool - 8/4/2011, 12:28 PM
I really need to see the next page!! LOL. And yes I agree ScionStorm Iron Fist should have won, however that loooong time of experience does amount to alot. Between fightng samurai, ninjas, and everything inbetween PLUS studying allies, he's got an advantage.

Wolverines about to woop her ass.

LFANCH
LFANCH - 8/4/2011, 12:35 PM
Keep in mind that wolverine won't really fatigue during the fight. even if iron fist hits him, in a few seconds he'll be fine.
ScionStorm

@jascurio-- Wolverine really wants to do something else to her ass but he can't cause everybody is watching.

It is not out of the realm of possiblity for Wolverine to beat Iron Fist at Martial Arts... He was a Goddamn Ninja and highly skilled assassin.
LoudLon
LoudLon - 8/4/2011, 12:43 PM
Wondering why Spidey didn't just hop in there and take all three of 'em out, and then whoop Luke Cage in arm wrestling. :D

Wolverine has far more experience and training then Iron Fist. That is the truth. Of Course Iron Fist would Destroy Wolverine using his Chi but he was not and he is substantially weaker then Wolverine without the Chi Upgrade.

Great Panels and storyboards.

Here Spidey:

[Wolverine used Tickle]
[Wolverine used Mega Punch]
-Iron Fist is unable to battle. Choose New Avenger.

@Forilaz "one'??? No way! A huge number of people hate Bendis's Avengers! The owner at my local comic store tells people not to buy any Bendis books haha. Trust me, a lot of people are sick and tired of the Bendisvengers
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/4/2011, 12:56 PM
@ intruder

my problem with Bendis isn't his stories, its how he writes every character like Spider-Man.

He didn't used to be like that. His work on Daredevil back in the day, and Secret War was amazing stuff, but its easy to tell the difference between the serious tone of that, and the stuff he's doing now.
CorndogBurglar

his writing changed significantly after Secret Invsion.

I just remembered a Iron First VS Wolverine fight, from the 80´s, in Jeans apartment, it was a comedic one too, ended with a stalemate.

They should have gone with the original Squirrel Girl:

As for the real comic, I'll buy Marvel again when they can go more than three or four months without another overblown crossover 'event', but I do enjoy seeing anything drawn by Mike Deodato. He's truly one of the best in the business today.

Wolverine just wore Iron Fist down. Even if Iron Fist lands 5 times the blows Wolverine does Wolverine wont feel the blows past a moment or so. Wolverine is one of the best sparring partners Iron Fist could ever ask for. He cant be hurt and has unlimited stamina.

Wolverine can beat Iron Fist because he can allow himself to get out of position and take huge hits that would be the end for a human combatant.

@loudlon- totally agree.
But has anyone heard of Marvels latest?
Hermit Crab Boy!
Slug-man!
Sea Cucumber-woman!
Dungbeetle-boy, and my favorite...Fern-man!

I really enjoy Bendis' Work. This Ultimate Spider-man Death thing is just amazing. Wolverine and Iron Fist going at it was pretty extraordinary. I wish that made Squirrel Girl a little more serious
Forilaz
Forilaz - 8/4/2011, 1:44 PM
Wow, I'm glad I wasn't alone on the Bendisvengers:

Cause, yeah, let's be honest- his run on Daredevil was magnificent. Truly. Powers is a great book and most of USM is solid. New Avengers was also something fresh in the beginning.

But all of a sudden Bendis was all over Marvel, and all over the Avengers, and all over the big events. And I agree with CorndogBurglar and the others- the way he uses the Avengers... it's just not right: two of his characters are actually moving the plot, all the others are "Spider-Men"- being more comedy reliefs than anything.

And his plots are not shining either.

And Intruder- he doesn't write "too much dialogue". I mean, look at Siege, dude- THERE IS NO DIALOGUE.
Ironfistninja
Ironfistninja - 8/4/2011, 1:52 PM
BS!!!! Iron Fist Wins...He wasnt allowed to use his hands...what sense does that make...They aren't "iron" all the time....only when he focuses his Chi.
Chewtoy
Chewtoy - 8/4/2011, 2:18 PM
Bendis' Avengers made me stop buying comics altogether... And I used to be a fan of his. But when he became the driving force behind all Marvel plot lines his writing (and most of Marvel) turned to shit for me, and I couldn't be bothered to make the trip down to the comics store. Now I occasionally get a Fables trade from Amazon, but that's about it.

There was no more ominous move for me than seeing Quesada made "Chief Creative Officer" of the company, including the films, and seeing him make Bendis one of the main consultants on the movies.
