COMICS: New Cover Art And Interiors From Brian Michael Bendis And Bryan Hitch's AGE OF ULTRON

I don't really know who Ultron is, so can somebody explain his appeal? Is he like Marvel's "Brainiac" or something?

[frick] Ultron! I would've done a arc where you build it off little by little. I wish I could write for Marvel I have what I call my 3 acts of terror. It starts of A bounty hunter from the future(new character) hunting down villains until he is killed by Punisher and Wolverine. And they learn that he was sent to kill the Avengers before some big event would begin. While this is going on. Big time marvel villains are forming alliances in secret and are stealing ancient artifacts. Doctor Strange is on the case but he has little clues on to what is going. Act 1 ends with a cloaked being saying the bargain has been made and Dormammu smiling as he looks upon his army and a portal opening into the Realm of Earth. I would write Act 2 and 3 but it would take up to much space.

@ Scabs. Ultron was a robot created by Hank Pym Thenl he went Skynet on them. He is really one of their most dangerous opponents because of the Terminator scenario he can create as you see in the pics above.

I get it. But if that's the case, put Magneto on the front line. End of storyline. Right?

@Scabs not really that easy remember he goes Skynet. He is A.I so he can hack into computer systems and still remain alive in he net.

Brian Michael Bendis is a great comic book writer. So I'm really looking forward to the 10 part Age of Ultron titles.

Oh, it's Hitch. No wonder it's taken so damn long. Hopefully this won't be like Secret War, where the status quo of the whole Marvel Universe has changed by the fifth issue.

Okay...I'm very much on the fence about this. Ultron is badass, and I love Moon Knight, (one of my favorite superheroes,) but Bendis took the character of Moon Knight and cocked it up severely. Making Moonies' personalities take on the personas of other superheroes? That took so much away from the originality of the character, in my opinion. Then, he wrote Moon Knight having conversations with said personalities. WTF??? That isn't even true multiple personality disorder. That's closer to schizophrenia. (Which is not the same thing, for those of you who aren't familiar with psychological disorders.)

Moon Knight stopped being interesting in his Shadowland story arc when they randomly brought back his dead brother with no explanation at all, and then brutalized Martine, thus bringing out the deranged, overly violent Marc Spector personality. They hardly spent any time with him playing the part of the real hero, (ala Vengeance of Moon Knight,) where he was constantly fighting his violent tendedncies in order to do what was right, whilst not crossing the line between hero and brutal vigilante. That's not to say that he should have stayed that way forever, but they didn't keep him there long enough. What added insult to that particular injury, was that Bendis seemed to COMPLETELY disregard all of those things when he wrote the "Age of Ultron Prelude", miraculously making a man with a multiple personality disorder very two-dimensional. Bleh.

I may pick these up to see if Moon Knight finally gets the treatment that he deserves, but if Bendis continues to anally sodomize one of my favorite heroes, then I'll be writing Marvel and asking for a refund for the few issues that I had the misfortune of purchasing and reading.

I have my fingers crossed for a great story arc....

Or is that not Widow on the cover? It looks like her, but a katana isn't exactly her weapon of choice.

i have a feeling that thanos was revealed purely for the guardians of the galaxy movie & the avengers may take him on at a later date.

I'm with others here who want to see Ultron in a movie.

I don't like crossovers as a rule, but I may get in on this, depending on how many books are involved.

@Scabs: Ultron as seen in season one of Avengers:EMH is a good introduction to him. If you'd rather a good comic story, may I recommend "Ultron Unlimited", a 1999 story by Busiek and Perez that appeared in Avengers 19-22 ('97 series), with a 0 issue in it. It can be found in TPB collecting the whole story. There are some on Ebay, or your comic shop may have it, or the original books. The 0 is $4, the others are $2.25 each. Should be able to find them. This is a truly epic storyline, and a hell of a way to see just what Ultron is all about. I think most Avengers fans here will agree with me on that. That whole Busiek/Perez run is greatness if you want some more really great Avengers stories.
