COMICS: New SPIDER-MEN Teaser; Will Parker & Morales Meet?

Marvel have released another teaser for their recently announced comic which could feature a meeting of both incarnations of the Webhead, and an Ultimate/616 crossover! The writer and artists have also been announced..

A while back we saw a teaser for Spider-Men featuring the logos of both Miles Morales and Peter Parker. It would seen fairly self explanatory, but both characters meeting is a little more complicated than it sounds. For one, Ultimate Parker is dead - would this mean a resurrection already? Or could this signal a crossover between the Ultimate and 616 (regular) Marvel universes, with Morales running into the "real" Spider-Man? Only time will tell, but for now here is a new teaser which lets us know we will get out answers in June, and that Brian Bendis will write, Sara Pichelli draw, and Jim Cheung handle the covers.



This June - history will be made for the Marvel Universe.

Interesting... I'm not against Miles, I just wish he could not take over the name for Parker, but having him be another awesome hero like Scarlet Spider or Venom would be fine.

Anyone actually been READING Miles' arc in USM?

I like him, think he's a pretty interesting character.

interesting although quesada (i think, or brevoort) said a while back that ultimate and 616 will never meet because that would mean that marvel has run out of ideas...

With Marvel mixing the 616 and Ultimate universes in the films, I expect this to happen a lot and eventually merge the two universes in the books. If/when that happens, I will drop every Marvel title.

@CaptainDusty Myles is really cool as Spidey. Wish people would get over the fact that he's a black kid honoring his hero.

Also, he has Nick Fury's blessing...

Hope they don't bring Peter back. The whole point of Ultimate U is to take characters were they're 616 counterparts can't go and dead people stay dead. Is it not?

@rbfn04 I don't recall anyone saying anything about his ethnic background. I think it's just the fact that Ultimate Parker was far more interesting than the mainstream Peter right now and that they didn't want to see him go. I really do hope that they come up with some sort of convoluted way to explain why Peter comes back. (Clone, the Oz in his blood prevented him from dying like Goblin always is.)

Maybe it's a play off of Death Of Spider-Man..., the death was refering to the fact that it was the death of only having one Spider-Man and now there will be two of them? Because, technically, from the pages it was Peter Parker who died -- not Spidey. I could see it where he was kept alive somehow without anyone knowing.

The Zodiac key is something that makes a lot of sense and would actually make it so that the prologue issues weren't just a waste of my money that were unrelated to the story in Death Of Spider-Man. lol

But I actually wish that Peter would stay dead, not only so that dieing would still mean something in comics, but allso because I think that ultimate-universe could use a new generation of heroes(like Miles or Wolverine's son in ultimate universe).
