The Spider-Man event of the decade begins! Start Webbing The News! New York City's Infestation is complete and eight million people are plagued! As someone near to Peter Parker's life reveals their spider-abilities, the brilliantly fearsome Jackal rises from the past and begins organizing an army of Spider-powered soldiers. Spider-Man isn't the only hero affected as the threat goon grows bigger than any one Fantastically Friendly Neighborhood Avenger can handle. Best-selling Spidey creators Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos spin a Spider-epic that turns Peter Parker's big time into a big mess. Bad romance, death-defying violence and one man facing his final fearsome destiny... this one's got it all!

I like the third cover but the interior art is horrible.

So..M.J. and Peter are just friends right? Or, is this line of comics not disturbed by One More Day? I'm so lost on what's going on with Spider-Man lately, or rather it's been hard for me to keep up since One More Day.

The whole everyone-is-Spider-Man-thing is interesting though.

No, all of the non-Ultimate Spider-man titles are part of the same universe, so all are affected by One More Day. Unfortunately, no writer has retconned that terrible Gwen-Stacy-cheated-on-Peter-with-Norman-Osborn-and-had-twins story that Straczynski was forced to write years ago, and I don't think I'll be buying an issue until they do. They have screwed around with the Spidey universe way too much. As for One More Day, I understand why they did it, but after all the other crap they have done, it just feels like One More Thing.

Wow, that's such good news. I thought One More Day only erased Peter and Mary Jane's marriage and kept Aunt May alive. Actually, I am okay with the Clone Saga remaining a part of continuity. It was a dumb idea in the moment because at one point I think the writers were serious about sticking with Ben Reilly as the "real" Spider-Man. But since it's over and has no lasting negative effects on the comic or any characters that anyone cares about, in retrospect, I honestly think it was a very interesting and plausible storyline. Besides, it's not like they're going to resurrect Ben Reilly.

So, now that I'm thinking about it...why would the deal with Mephisto have any effect on what Gwen did or did not do while she was alive?

Spider-Hulk? Or Hulk-Spider? Didn't everyone just recently become Hulks? And then the hammers turning people into gods. Now Spiders? Will there be an outbreak of Pym Particles next or will we have an army of adamantium reinforced characters?

I like the second cover. Is this continuity following after Fear Itself? What is the timeline for this story???

I wouldn't mind if MJ got Spider powers though. I think she's the only character I wouldn't mind.

Wait! Is Jonah gonna get bit?? I wanna see what he does if that happens.

Wow, this just looks terrible. I've stayed away from this book like the plague since the Spider-Marriage was undone. Peter and Mary Jane are my favorite married couple in all of comics, and they erase it so we can have stories like this instead? The Jackal is back? Everyone has spider powers? Carlie fricking Cooper?
