They should go back to the Miss Marvel namedit sounded much cooler. Plus why limit the amount of characters you can use by giving the title to someone else?

@DrDoom - Then Cap. Amercia should be a General America by now. The title is not military, but symbolic. I may be wrong, but that's the way I see it. And it's a brand too.

@DrDoom I see what you mean, but it's comics, reviving a hero after a heroic death like nothing happened is a insult, saying a story takes place in 2013 and going back in the past in 1968 whith characters only looking a few years younger is a mistake. It's comics, don't read too much into it :) Care for what is good :)

I agree that Major Carol Danvers should be addressed as Ms Marvel. Isnt Billy Batson officially addressed as Shazam now? I think because Marvel won that law suit they are forcing the name on Carol.

She's an airforce Major but the Captain is in reference to Mahr Vehl's Kree ranking. She takes on that role from Mahr Vehl thus the name but she is still officially a Major.

I am delighted by the irony that the "Captain" Marvel argument is being brought to us by someone whose screen name is a direct contradiction to the argument. "Dr." Doom never achieved his doctorate and, by your argument, should be referred to only as "Master's Degree" Doom. Can't have someone misrepresenting the proper credentials now, can we?
