Come lets face it.. The original vulture is too old to be anything but a mentor to other vultures.

let's face it:
the new direction for spidey SUCKS BIG TIME !!!!
they wanted a new status quo, with new characters and new direction....
remember those "AMAZING" paper lady, jackpot, antivenom, mr. negative, étc ???
what happened with that?
now, they seem to start pulling all those characters (revamp or not) that made Spidey great in the begining, what a bunch of dóuche bags, those taking the reigns of the actual spidey, specially quezad-illa & whacker...
Please CANCEL the book and give spidey a DECENT legacy !

What happened to that red suited vulture with the split jaw that spit acid? Did the Punisher kill him?

Wasn't this the idea Sam Raimi was toying with for the mooted Spider-Man 4?

PoPcornDude,
What happened to Anti-Venom and Mr. Negative?
Both Anti-Venom and Mr. Negative were just in Amazing Spider-Man in Amazing Spider-Man #663 and #664.

Both of those issues were Top Ten comics in June, outselling every X-title, Bat-title, and every other monthly DC title for that matter.

And doing that without having variant covers.

Anti-Venom has also been one of the main characters in the Spider-Island event where every issue has been selling out and going back to press for second printings.
And Mr. Negative has also been the main villain in the Cloak & Dagger mini-series, which has also been selling out.
So that's what happened with them.

Maybe you should actually read the book and know what you're talking about before you trash it.

Since it's one of Marvel's top selling books, it probably wouldn't be their best move to listen to you and cancel it. But then again, you do make the compelling argument of "let's face it," so I could be wrong.

Spidey’s first enemy ...

If we're taking the Burglar out of the equation, then wouldn't Spidey's first enemy be the Chameleon and NOT the Vulture?

i haven't been reading spidey since I was in junior but from all the posts on here. I don't like what they are doing. And then I heard about the whole marriage thing whoo marvel needs to fix this character ASAP. He is a flagship character. Its not like he is iron fist or something.

it pains me to see supposed comic fans talking shit about comics they have not read.spidey comics have been great so far,and so has spider island.fantastic writing and twists.im noticing everyone talking trash havent even read them, just thing "that looks stupid" and declares it as such.talk to people who have actually read them, and you'll see dan slott and co. are on a roll.
