In four or so months Marvel will have something happen that has Logan comeback from the dead (again). Thats why this "Death of Wolverine" event is stupid, we all know he'll comeback.

He'll get his healing factor back when he's in Heaven by God Jack Kirby and rise from his grave.

Do you ever think we will have a character die in a comic and not come back? Sigh... That would be nice.

There wasn't this big of deal when John Proudstar died in Uncanny X-Men!! How come nobody cares about Thunderbird?!

So far it seems the only characters to stay dead in comics was peters uncle ben and bruce waynes parents. Just wait until they bring them back in some story.

@Mrcool210
Didn't they bring back Uncle Ben in House of M? That was a different reality though so I don't think that actually counts...

Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) died of cancer and he's still dead. Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy are both dead. Bucky was dead for like 50 years before they brought him back. In general though, yeah, death is a minor stop gap in comics. Wolverine will back before EOY 2015, for sure.

I wouldn't be so sure. He is in so many titles. They are really culling the field of Non Marvel characters. FF/ Wolverine out the window. As much as I never liked the guy he brings in a ton of money for them. I guess all those writers will now be working on Ant-Man and Groot stories. Hoooray! said no one.

He'll be back! Sabretooth came back. Colossus came back. And the list of X-men and villains goes on. That said, some good stories get told in the aftermath of their deaths. I actually hope they touch on how his death affects the rest of the Marvel Universe as well, especially characters like Spider-Man, Electra, Captain America(especially now that he's old), Captain Marvel, Shang Chi, Iron Fist, and even Iron Man.

Ithink we all know how this will end. The same way that Peter Parker's death ended. Wolverine will be back by the time the next movie comes out in 2016. I guarantee it.

You want comics where dead means dead? Go read some of the great Valiant comics like Harbinger, X-O Manowar, or Archer & Armstrong! RIP Flamingo!

@ Pasto - nah I don't think that's going to happen this time mate...this has gotta be to do with the Fox shut out...lately heroes return when the next film comes out...but Marvel are shutting Fox out...could be he eventually comes back but I bet it's not for a few years...
