I was actually a really big fan of 2008's The Incredible Hulk and do not recommend skipping it.

If you mean perfect chronological order, then you should start with the opening prologue of Thor The Dark World.

@darkknight2149 I thoroughly enjoyed The Incredible Hulk too. I guess as far as the timeline, it wouldn't exactly leave a gaping hole in the connected universe if it were removed. Plus the after-credits scene has Stark approaching Ross about the Avengers which is inconsistent with the other films.

Plus, the fact that they brought in Ruffalo for Hulk and did the same "danger to society/others, at first, yet still a force for good or 'I can actually control it'" arc all over again.
Enjoyed TIH immensely, regardless.

Personally I'd put TIH after IM2 and Thor. The three films overlap quite a bit, but IM2 starts first, halfway through Coulson leaves to go to New Mexico making Thor a natural second choice, and the end of IM2 lines up with the first half of TIH, with TIH's ending (Stark as a consultant) clearly taking place at the latest point in the timeline.

Other than that, good timeline, though I'd sprinkle in the One-Shots. Agent Carter after the TV show of the same name, AFtHotWtTH between IM2 and Thor, The Consultant right after TIH, Item 47 right after The Avengers, and All Hail the King right after IM3.

Also i just want to get this out there but one thing that really annoys me about AoU is that i think they're trying to build up a black widow/hulk romance, when hulk/bruce banner SHOULD BE WITH BETTY ROSS. BRING THAT BACK AND WORK ON IT MARVEL, GODDAMN IT YOU COULD BRING RED HULK, RED SHE-HULK AND MANY MORE IMAGINE HOW FREAKNG AWESOME THAT WOULD BE

Number 15 should be "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (S2, EP1-16)". After that then Daredevil, then "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (S2, EP17-19)", number 18 should be Avengers: Age of Ultron, number 19 should be "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (S2, EP20-22)", and Ant-Man should be number 20. You need to add number 20 on this.

It does irritate me how Marvel are half using continuity from TIH
Just get Liv Tyler back as Betty Ross already, it'll give it that extra solid proof that it's in continuity.
And plus it's much better than the forced Bruce/Black Widow relationship

Don't certain scenes in Incredible hulk, thor and iron man 2 take place at the same time? Or like one scene in one movie takes place right after a scene from another movie? Someone should just take all of the events throughout the MCU with a chart and splice them all together in the right order, that would be cool to see.

I see what you are saying and, for now at least, I agree that it doesn't have much timeline importance. However, I do think it could be POTENTIALLY important in the future, if the Abomination and the Leader ever return (and they have been teased since their appearance in TIH). However, for now, it's shippable as far as continuity goes.

But, if we are just going by quality, I recommend every Hulk fan check it out.

Why should TIH be considered skippable?....To me its still as good as IM1 and The Avengers and TWS, just still sux Marvel ignores it and only gives lil hints of its existence in other films of the MCU

Eh. I have already decided to ignore AOS, and am trying to figure out if there is really anything in AOU that relies on IM3. Even Dark World feels mostly skippable.

The one shots are also kinda skippable really. Just novelty things. The agent Carter one is essentially expanded in the series. They don't really jibe.

Betty isn't necessary anymore, their relationship is done. The widow/banner things makes sense because they are essentially in the field together, if anyone would get him it would be a fellow hero.

I could see Ross coming into play again, now that Hulk is a threat again, at least in the world's view. But he won't until marvel gets the full rights.

This is right, except I think Daredevil takes place immediately after Avengers, and before Iron Man 3.

Daredevil only references the events in New York and events prior to that.

Nothing about that show suggests it takes place after.

Of course, I haven't had a good look at the newspapers. Do they actually say the date is 2015?
