Joe Quesada Has No Plans To Compete With Stan Lee For Movie Cameos!

The Marvel comics editor in chief jokes that he has no plans on stealing Stan Lee's thunder by having a cameo in every Marvel movie but reveals why he loves seeing the legend on the big and small screen...

"That's Stan Lee's gig," Quesada told MTV News at New York Comic Con. "That's Stan's thing. I don't think anybody wants to see me — they want to see Stan."

"It's not the kind of thing where I get to call somebody up and say, 'Hey, I need a cameo!' If I'm invited some day, I'd make one!"

"Personally, I want to see him do a cameo in 'Ultimate Spider-Man.' He deserves one," Quesada said of Stan Lee. "We gave him a great part in 'Superhero Squad.' Every time the mayor of 'Superhero Squad' shows up in that show, it doesn't matter what he says, I can't stop laughing. I can't stop laughing!"

"We love having Stan involved. Anytime we can get him, we want Stan."

@-weneedrevelation Hey sorry I'm not as excited anymore abouts Stan's cameos. I actually want to see more of Lou Ferrigno. Hopefully he shows up in the Avengers. Now that would be cool.

$20 for a photo with Lou Ferrigno? I'd pay that! :D

Stan Lee deserves his cameos though. Joe Quesada does not. He's a poor writer, an ok artist and a decent enough E-i-C. I'm still angry at him for that awful "One Moment In Time" story though...I waited two years for answers, and that was the best he could come up with!?

Least the only cameo he has had was when his name was used as the Woman Beater & Rapist in Daredevil. Lovely.

stan lee should have cameo's in the films of comic charactors his created.

joe quesada should as well if his created or drawn a storyline that maybe appearing on the big screen put him in it.

i love joe quesada's artwork.

his covers for "siege" & his art for the comic "ash" are awesome.

Who cares about Joe? Stan Lee is the man, always will be. He's awesome not only because of who he is but because he loves life so much. I can't think of another person who loves waking up every morning and screaming Excelsior more than Stan "The Man" Lee!

Stan is always is on some positive vibe. Whether he's like that behind the scenes or not, I don't know. But whenever I see him in front of a cam or a mike, he is full of life. Great to see someone like that.

As for Joe, I don't get why he gets so much hate. He's always attached to the OMD and OMIT stories. But the way I see it, so many classic and epic events and stories have come on his watch. So if you ask me, the man is doing an awesome job as EiC.

Finally, the Mayor of Super Hero City is hilarious. Stan voicing him is ideal and just like Joe said, I can't stop laughing when he's on the show.

Dear joe quesadilla:
that was a good decision, nobody wants to see your fat a§§ face in a movie !!
he destroyed the only comic book I used to buy...
the 'new' stories & direction of spidey sucks big time which btw are just as forgettable as his remarks.
fúkc the reboot too !!!
frustated reader.

whoever creates a character or certain storyline should feature in a cameo for that characters film.

i.e stan lee most of the marvel universe, rob liefield in deadpool, jms in thor & so on.

I'd rather not see Joe's ugly fat ass in any movies. This guy completely ruined Marvel.

MovieTheaterLad, I'm referring to the constant character deaths and shock value Joe keeps relying on to sell books. It's like he and his employees can come up with something new and exciting without sacrificing some characters. I'm too much of a fan of the old school Marvel which makes me pretty disgruntled. Everythings so upside down it's not even funny.

MovieTheaterLad, well let's see, deaths ranging from Colossus to Capt America to the Wasp. Some came back and some haven't. One More Day/Brand New Day, Skrulls impersonating Marvel characters letting us know they never came back to life. Also, I still don't approve of Bucky Barnes coming back. You can't win them all.

MovieTheaterLad: are you telling me that after 3 years after OMD, the Gauntlet is the best story they ever could've came up with ???
what about most recently, OMIT ???
like I said....
they suck !!!
