Wow! this is awesome news. Just think of the properties that they could bring to TV. Heroes for Hire, Moon Knight, Runaways, Marvel Team-Up, Cloak and Dagger the Animated Series. It would open up a whole new world of oppurtunity for Marvel fans.

Wow... the guy freakin' wrote Commando... is that a good thing or a bad thing to have on your resume? I mean, its a classic no question but quality film wise... i dunno LOL ;P

One of Ahnold's best, I think!

LEEE@ If you think about it... look at some of the embarasments that suffered on live-action TV. Dr. Strange, Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk Returns, Trial of the Incredible Hulk, Generation X, Nick Fury: Agent of SHEILD.... I think they had some reason not to venture there without the right formula for success. Now is the time, they have the money, the production talent and big brother Disney to put it all together. I think for this to work for Marvel all of these pieces had to fall into place!
GUNSMITH

oh jesus christ. while i'm thrilled that they're talking TV shows, i'm thoroughly disappointed that Jeph Loeb is in charge of it. that guy's good days are FAR behind him. sure he's written classics like The Long Halloween, but he hasn't written anything good in ages.

hopefully he doesn't have any kind of creative control.

LEEE@ Until IM (& Dsney) they didn't have the financial security that they are enjoying now. It is easy to say they should take the risk when it isn't your company at risk. They took risks before and ended up bankrupt.

I just think now is the right time.

SpiderBat209 - 6/28/2010, 8:02 AM
FINALLY!!! :D

THERE HASN'T BEEN SH*T TO WATCH ON T.V. THESE DAYS! :P

Give us MOON KNIGHT, and PUNISHER on HBO! :)

BIGBMH
BIGBMH - 6/28/2010, 8:05 AM
My biggest wishes:
SHIELD TV series
(fits in with all those other secret agent shows, could loosely connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe)
X-men First Class TV series
(very unlikely due to the movie and Fox owning the rights, but I think it works very well a a show, Smallville and Heroes have done it, why can't we see young training X-men on TV?)
New Marvel Animated Universe
(loved the DCAU, didn't really like the old MAU, could lead to deeper storytelling through crossovers)

This is an exciting time for the future of Marvel
TV.
GUNSMITH
GUNSMITH - 6/28/2010, 8:05 AM
MOONKNIGHT WOULD GIVE TRUEBLOOD A RUN FOR ITS MONEY, BESIDES, WHAT BETTER WAY TO SHOWCASE ALL THE MARVEL CREATURES OF THE NIGHT, CAMEOS WOULD BE AWSOME-WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, MORBIUS, LOBO BROTHERS...

"I WANT SOOKIE".."NO I WANT SOOKIE"..SOOKIE IS MINE".."NO SOOKIE IS MINE".."NO SOOKIE IS, DUDE DO YOU JUST WANNA SHARE HER?"..."UMMM OK"..

Didn't know that Loeb wrote Commando and Teen Wolf. That was a fun movie, and one of Arnold's better films. Teen Wolf was admittedly a fun concept, but also very silly in an Eighties kind of way.

Thanks for sharing those interesting little bits of trivia.

TG@ I think X-23 would be too watered down on TV,
even on cable but man, Summer floats my boat!

If they could do a cable TV show with the new X-force
with X-23, WOLVERINE, WARPATH, WOLFSBANE & DOMINO, on
SHOWTIME or HBO that would blow my gray-cells to
bits!
