I don't get it... It's a trailer for ...a comic book series? But... why? Is this trailer going to air on tv? I thought it was for a video game or animated series or something. Either way, it's cool advertising.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen a trailer for a comic book storyline. I like where this is going though. Although I haven't read ANY comic book for ooooh, I don't know how long (I did read Watchmen a couple of months ago). I haven't followed anything in at LEAST the last decade...if not longer. I know nothing of Civil War, World War Hulk, Messiah Complex, Phoenix Endsong, Secret Invasion, Annihilation, 52, Infinite Crisis etc etc etc etc. I could go on and on, BUT this does look very intriguing...

Yea yea yea, go ahead and talk that shyte because I haven't read a modern comic in over a decade, that's fine, that's what the internet is for. Plus, i'm broke.

On another note, since SHAMAN has garnered himself an avatar (good one at that) I have seen several people change theirs, including myself, Rorschach, Comics Man, Vex, Spock, and I think maybe 1 or 2 others. What's the trend all about? Just out of curiousity.

Wow! I really want to read this "Secret Invasion", but deciding where to start is very confusing. seems like just reading the Secret Invasion would be missing a lot, but compiling everything would take a lot of effort.

Well harry, that's what i don't like about crossovers. They pull the whole universe together meaning that there are a lot of "side tales" that could be important to read if you wanna grasp the whole story line. This is just a marketing skeem. I would love for them to not incorporate the regular titles that they have into the crossovers. That way, we can still enjoy the epic event without going broke!

Yeah ION, people are a changin faces around here and i find it cool. It's good to shed our skin once in a while. I don't know if there's a trend per say goin on but i enjoy it!

I think DEL REY BOOKS-STAR WARS did it before:

Remember the TV ad for the Vector Prime Novel a few years ago?? It even featured the voice over of Mark Hamill
(I didn´t see the ad but I knew it aired in the US thanks to the official site! =P)

But yeah a cool and interesting advertising campaing it is. Of Course the word "TRAILER" and a cool Picture instantly made me think: -´Oh that video game looks cool, i´ll watch the trailer though i don´t have a Wii nor 360 nor PS3 hahaha"

PS:.. hey this is my first comment ever here in comicbookmovie.com!!..but months reading you guys!

Wlecome aboard Sir Jedi.
Maybe not a trend per say SHAMAN, but definitely a good change amongst the ranks.
Speaking of which, have you watched the Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special on Youtube yet? Dude who plays Lobo looks pretty decent...Nicely done for a fan film deal.

Oh yeah, i loved the hell out of it!!! The guy that plays him has also played as various football players in "any given sunday", he was the one that brought the gator in the shower. And in "necessary roughness" he was the cowboy if i'm not mistaken. Ooh, i think he was also "chip", Christopher Walken's son in Batman Returns.
