What I Liked
✔Great tone to the story.
✔Cap, despite being far removed from his natural element, still retains incorruptible character and never compromises.
✔Dialogue was superb, although confusing and tough to read.
✔Fantastic art that transports you to this cold, A.I. led world
✔A “bomb” explodes from Cap’s eye, and he gets up and walks away
What I Didn’t Like
✘Time travel jargon is very confusing and hard to understand
✘Still not clear how this ties into Original Sin
✘A little too complex and confusing with the plot
Themes:
The main theme I picked up on in this issue is one of not compromising who you are, no matter how desperate, impossible, or just plain bad, things appear to be.
Captain America never gives up, despite fighting against a superior force that no doubt, given time, could have and would have subdued him. Quitting is just not in his DNA, and that is extremely admirable.
Everyone faces hard times, circumstances that challenge everything we believe and stand for. The true battle is staying the course during those trials and not allowing yourself to be corrupted or transformed into something you’re not.
Overall: 8.5 out of 10
