It Has been 50 Years since that iconic moment a boy was bit by a spider. Since then, that boy became a man. A Spiderman. Celebrating half a century of protecting the Marvel Universe, Spiderman will soon receive the ultimate birthday present. A sidekick.

In The Amazing Spiderman #692, the oversized Anniversary issue, Spiderman's sidekick, Alpha, will be interduced, with an origin not too different from Spiderman's. August Miguire, a 15-Year-Old youngster, is zapped by an invention during it's malfunction, gives him superpowers. Peter Parker (alias Spiderman) feels it's his fult and tries to help him discover what he discovered years ago. How to use your powers for good.

In many incarnations, from comics, to movies, to television, and beyond, Spiderman will continue to amaze fans everywhere, to 50 years more.

This is a situation where it's taken as obvious that people are going to IMMEDIATELY freak-out and go "OH MY GAWD!! WTF? SIDEKICK?!?1 EEEEHHHH...." essentially.

Truth be told, though, whether it's good or bad remains to be seen, right? At least they're not just rehashing the same old story lines and characters over and over and over. They're bringing a new character with a fresh instance. Let's be honest, you're still going to read it...OR you're going to be one of those wonderful idiots out there that want to throw commentary on something without actually knowing the truth of what you're talking about.

A man? Last I checked there's more movies and animated series wit Spider-Teen than Spider-Man. Only Spider-MAN I remember was in the 90's animated series, which is still the best in my opinion.
